Enjoyed my stay here at the Sonesta. Will be staying here for any future trips to NY from now on. The pool was one of the main reasons that caught my eye about the hotel but i didnt like the pool hours. Closed too early.. other than that, great hotel. Area felt safe, easy parking. Love

The most comfortable, best smelling hotel in NY.

The most comfortable beds ever, great staff. We arrived a bit early and we were able to check in no problem. They really explain all charges and options. And it smells SO good in that hotel! Idk what the smell is exactly but it's such a lovely touch when walking through the common spaces. The garage access couldn't be easier. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting the city.

My family booked this hotel for a one night “staycation” to have dinner and swim. We arrived on a Thursday evening. The very small pool was taken over by a kids swim instructing company and their multiple clients/parents from the time we checked in at 4 o’clock to the pool closing time of 7pm. We never got to use the pool, which was the whole purpose of our stay.

⸻ From the moment we walked into Harmony Suites, I had a sinking feeling this was not going to be a pleasant stay—and unfortunately, I was right. The hotel was noisy to the point of absurdity. It felt more like being in a kindergarten romper room than a place of rest. We were constantly disturbed by barking dog, loud repair work sounds occurring at all hours, and every sound from adjacent rooms thanks to the paper-thin walls. It was as if we were sleeping in the middle of a chaotic hallway with no buffer at all. On top of the noise, the cleanliness of the hotel left much to be desired. The room felt poorly maintained and far from the standard of comfort or hygiene one would expect. I truly regret booking here, and I can say with certainty that I will never stay at Harmony Suites again. Travelers looking for peace, cleanliness, or even the most basic rest should look elsewhere.

For a luxury hotel, the Sonesta falls short. We've stayed there several times because it is near to our family. It was recently renovated, but now the rooms do not have dressers to put your clothes away. And in the bathroom, there is only one small towel bar near the sink. The housekeepers put 2 large bath towels on it, not understanding the closest towel bar to the sink should have hand towels to dry one's hands when at the sink. We had a room with 2 queen beds and asked for a second night stand for one of the beds, since there was only one nightstand in the room. The front desk told us they didn't have any-it was late in the evening when we checked in--but they would check the next day. They never followed up. For the prices they charge, this hotel should do better, much better, in designing the guest experience. Shame on Sonesta. We felt ripped off.
