My room was way too hot most of the night. The thermostat is locked out. You can push buttons but nothing happens. I opened the windows as much as possible, which let in a lot street noise and light, but didn't do much even though it was around freezing outside. I ended up drenching a towel for evaporative cooling and sleeping with it, or at least lying in bed with it. A hotel is really a place to sleep. If conditions are not conducive to sleeping it kind of defeats the purpose. At $300/night this should really have been figured out. When asked how my night was and I told them it was hard to sleep because my room was so hot, hey expressed that they were sorry.

This is a great option if you want to explore downtown Whitehorse. It’s also convenient if you’re passing through on your way up or down the Alcan. That said, be sure to pay attention to which room you choose. Don’t assume an executive room is going to get you what looks like an apartment style room. That’s on me for not paying better attention as I was in and out of cell service. The quality and design in the room was lovely. The bed was very comfortable and the linens of high quality. I wanted to take the pillows with me! Bathroom is nicely appointed and towels are thick and plentiful. I would offer three amenities to guests in order for this to be a stellar experience - either offer streaming, or have the channels you advertise (they don’t have premium as suggested), add a microwave to the room, and last, allow your guests to adjust the heat without having to open a window.
