Very adorable little home that has an amazing view. There is so much potential in this property to be 5 stars on everything! My only complaint was the deck area was nice but the outside furniture and TV area were unable to be utilized due to lack of care. I also thought that this property had its own access to the water and while this is not a huge issue because we did not plan on fishing/boating/swimming it was a bit of a bummer because my impression was that we could go out by the water. Also, I am not sure if it was due to the time of year but the house smelled very musty when we first walked in.Other than these few things, the home was great and clean and we enjoyed our stay. The neighborhood feels very safe and quiet.

Beautiful Lake Cottage

My husband and I, both seniors, accompanied out adult daughter and her 9 y/o granddaughter to Ann Arbor. Our granddaughter spent several days at the UM gymnastics camp. Ann Arbor is easily accessible to the cottage. The cottage is beautifully decorated and very clean. Anything you could need is there for you and your family. Our daughter and granddaughter enjoyed fishing off the dock -- lots of blue gills, bass, and catfish -- catch and release. Lots of fun! Our host was very easy to reach and answered questions promptly. We would highly recommend this beautiful lake cottage.

Not exceptional property

I rely heavily on VRBO rating and reviews when booking. This property did not meet the standards of the rating. Every door opening, corner, and edge of ceiling had webs and spiders. Toilet was full of thick brown liquid. Not sure what it was but points to the home that hadn’t been used or cleaned in quite some time. Towels smelled old and were mismatched and randomly folded and shoved under the cabinet. Looked more like a rag cupboard in a garage. Renovations were obviously cheap, DIY, and unfinished. Rugs, furnishing and beddings are worn and tired. Mattresses….don’t even get me started. Home has shabby cottage feel with a great deck and a lovely view of the water. If cleanliness and updated finishes don’t matter to you, then this is probably an option. If you are expecting a 10 rating exceptional property, then this will disappoint you. Also, property has well water with low water pressure and no filter on the shower head. Really hard to feel clean with that combination.

Amazing stay!

Our time at this lake house was absolutely fantastic. The lake house is clean and has everything you could possibly need to cook and be comfortable. The property manager was very welcoming and made sure we were well taken care of during our stay. My teenager loved staying in the loft area, it was her own hideaway. They have a really nice patio and fire pit area. It was a bit too chilly to enjoy during the winter, so I can’t wait to stay in the summer to enjoy the lake in a non-frozen state.The house is close to anything we needed, but far enough that we could enjoy the peacefulness of the lake. What a great stay! Thank you so much!

Great Stay

Our stay was excellent. We didn’t use the property much as we were in town to visit our college kids and take in a Michigan game. The rental was perfect for our needs and a quick commute to Ann Arbor.

Wish we could have stayed longer!

Beautiful home on the lake with numerous outdoor activities for all ages (volleyball, kayaks, spring legal, cornhole, darts, and fire pit). Place was impeccably clean with everything needed in the kitchen and bath provided. Ample seating areas inside and out. Thanks so much!

Perfect cozy cottage

We came to this cozy cottage over UofM graduation weekend and it was perfect. Clean, cozy, well furnished and just as described. Communication with owners was prompt and clear along with check-in and out details. We enjoyed the scenery overlooking the lake too! Thank you for letting us stay. We will come again to this beautiful spot!

As Advertised

We were in town for a Michigan football game. This is an excellent location for ease of access to downtown on game day! The cottage was very clean and very relaxing. Well stocked with paper products, coffee and even microwave popcorn. Liked it so much, we're going back again next weekend!
