DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS HOTEL. It’s not worth the money. The rooms are terrible. I found mold in the room after I was told the hotel was newly renovated. This hotel has not been renovated and very old. So many problems with my room. First of all, the room was not thoroughly cleaned. Dirty towels in the bathroom From previous customer. Walls are dirty in the bedroom and bathroom. I requested a suite and I was not pleased. See pictures attached to my review. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. So mad I wasted my money on this hotel. The phone didn’t work in the room when I tried to call the desk to let them know the smoke detector was going off in my room around 2:30am. When I tried to turn off the detector with my hands, the detector was wet and had mold on it. Sooooo disgusting. ALSO, the shower head was spraying wild and water going everywhere. This hotel need a major makeover.

Perfect location for visiting Busch Gardens,

The staff here was outstanding. Very friendly and helpful. The property itself is old and dated so there were obvious things that even a diligent staff could not fix. The location is excellent if you’re going to Busch Gardens or colonial Williamsburg. Best of all the air conditioning worked during a heat wave. I would stay again as the property presented a good value

Horrible experience

I was placed in a room with a broken bathroom sink faucet, broken tub stopper, broken curtains and inoperable remote control. In addition, poor professionalism and customer service across the board. I will not stay at this hotel or a chain hotel again.

Property location is good but the property needs upgrading. We stayed 4 nights and our room was not cleaned during our stay even after putting a request with front desk. On 3rd day we ran out of bath towels and was told they had no towels available. We did get towels the last night of our stay.

Time to update

We didn't even check in. The place looked like a post apocalyptical hold over. Screens were falling off of windows, "Do not enter" fence greeted you as you pulled into the parking lot. The general appearance and feel was so off putting that I didn't even walk into the building. There is no possible way the photos from the site are current.

We reserved three rooms for almost a week. We made these reservations months in advance. Due to last-minute schedule changes necessary for two people in our group, one of the rooms was to be unused for the first two nights. We advised the hotel of this when we checked in. When those two party members arrived their room had been sold. After some wrangling, the hotel admitted their mistake and provided a room. Room cleaning was supposed to be every three days, but it never happened. Broken plastic lids on breakfast dishes. Only two friendly staff members. The younger staff members seemed like they were annoyed we were asking to have our room keys re-set for the fourth time. Check in was clunky because the computer system was new to the staff member. The "fitness center" has three cardio machines, a bench, and an ancient double stack cable machine crammed into a tiny room. This is a place to sleep. Nothing more.

The hotel exceeded all my expectations. The staff was welcoming and accommodating right from the moment we checked in. The room was clean. internet connectivity is great. The breakfast is decent. I will certainly return during my next visit.
