Room was missing cooking supplies (frying pan, broken blender), tub in the first room we had was leaking, couldn’t access amenities on day of check out prior to check out time, and one rude staff member. Outside of those concerns, we had a good stay for a children’s sleepover.

Beautiful grounds worth a walk around the property. Friendly, helpful staff. Great location for exploring Williamsburg/Jamestown area. The suites are huge and easily accommodate two couples in separate bedrooms.

Dear Expedia Support, I am requesting a refund for my recent stay at The Vacation Village because of the unacceptable condition of the first room we were given. My family and I had been at an amusement park all day and didn’t return to the hotel until around midnight. Upon entering our room, we immediately noticed broken glass on the table, several lighters with black residue on them, open cabinets, and bags of belongings scattered around. It was clear that the room had not been cleaned or properly prepared for guests. I contacted the front desk right away and was eventually moved to another room, but the entire process took over an hour. By the time we were finally settled, it was after 3:00 a.m. We had to check out at 9:00 a.m., so we barely got any rest after a long day. When I spoke with staff in the morning, I was told that they couldn’t process a refund because the reservation was made through Expedia. Given the condition of the first room and the significant inconvenience caused, I believe a refund is fair and appropriate. Thank you for your time and understanding. The property was nice and well kept. Our home was inviting and clean. The only complaint is there needs to be more security at the property. There was very loud music and guest yelling obscenities after about 10pm at night right outside our room. There also seemed to be a lot of worker hovering around the maintenance station socializing and riding around doing nothing. Maybe use some of those bored workers to provide extra security for guests.
