The room was large, neat, and nicely appointed. The bedding was divine! The grounds, including pool, firepit, and related areas were lovely. The staff was ever solicitous. Could not have been better!

I had a feeling the moment we checked in that I’d wish for more time here—and sure enough, I did. Every corner felt thoughtfully cared for: outdoor spaces that invite you to linger, rooms that are both hygienic and comfortable, and a quiet, sprawling charm. The owners make bring a guest feel easy. If you’re in the Berkshires—or simply looking for an excuse to be—this inn alone is worth the trip!

A Great Stay in Williamstown

I highly recommend the Maple Terrace Motel, where I spent three comfortable, pleasurable, quiet nights. The proprietors are so thoughtful and attentive to their guests, the swimming pool is crystal clear and clean, the lovely gardens are a great place to read and partake of the free breakfast. The location is ideal for visiting The Clark Institute, Mass MoCA, the Williams College museum and the main town street with restaurants, shops and a great little movie theater.

The grounds at the Maple Terrace Inn are LOVELY. Multiple seating areas surrounded by cottage gardens, a fire pit, and pool. The owners have turned a motor lodge into a little oasis.
