Quiet and beautiful location.

Property was very nice, had our own private outdoor patio with a great fan, river was crystal clear ranging from 2-6’. Was a bit tricky getting into the river by the old dam but once in, it was perfect.

Very nice overall

We loved the quiet and remoteness of the cabin. The entire property was vacant with the exception of one other group of people whom we saw for a total of 30 seconds. Bring everything! There are no amenities at all. It's an awesome location and super quiet but you will be completely on your own.

DON’t stay here

Do not stay in this place. First, they changed us to a different place than what we originally got. When we got there the room was super dirty, the patio had bird poo everywhere. The room had many religious stuff that went against mine. I called and asked to cancel and they refuse to do it. I told them about the cleaning and the room and the office people were very rude. I sent photos and videos to them and they didn’t even want to give me a different place. I told them I wasn’t going to stay there and they didn’t care. I left that place and didn’t stay there. Now they won’t return me. Don’t stay here to avoid of this stuff. All their staff was rude and not understanding.

Beautiful spot, minimal 'kitchette'

I would think the host could at least provide a microwave, and 1.5 rolls of toilet paper. The horses mentioned in the listing were not on the property; time to update the listing, perhaps? Two forks, one glass wineglass, one plastic wineglass, 1 roll of paper towels. Zero coat hangers in the closet, but we foraged and found a few in a closet in the common area. Felt rather spartan, though it's a beautiful old building & grounds/location. AC worked well, and the fireplace was very welcome - although we had to go and buy some Duraflame logs to use it.

Nice, peaceful location

Overall this was a great place to stay. the king size bed was very comfortable, a great A/C and nice to have an outside balcony with beautiful views. I know that the paperwork indicated that there was limited supplies provided but not even salt and pepper? In the kitchen counter basket was micro wave popcorn that did not make sense because there was not a microwave, which I recommend they put in. One would expect that. The only soap in the bathroom was a liquid soap bottle on the bathroom vanity with about a 1/2 of an inch of soap. No soap in the shower. The hot water smelled bad, and had a rust smell and we had to run it for quite awhile to try and flush the pipes. They knew we were coming and stayed 4 nights so why not make sure these things were taken care of prior to our arrival. Again a nice quiet place and we absolutely loved the no animals and no children policy!

Beautiful location

The location of this property is phenomenal. It is a beautiful, quiet spot but very easy to get to many restaurants and an HEB for supplies. There are a few shortcomings with the amenities in the room; a frozen over mini fridge, kettle that took about 15 minutes to come to a boil, and blinds that were broken in a way that made them very difficult to adjust. The sauna was also not working during our stay. Those minor issues aside, I highly recommend this property and would book here again.

Wonderful stay!

This was a great and quiet hill country location on the creek with lots of wildlife. Not far from all things in Wimberley. I would recommend bringing your own bottled water and coffee if desired. We would definitely visit again!

Just what we needed!

Everything was absolutely amazing! From an easy check in process into the suite, to walking down the river and listening to the water flow as you dip your feet in. Honestly was exactly what we needed to recharge for the real world hustle and bustle, it was so peaceful. We stayed Thursday through Saturday. Thank you!

Pretty but noisy right now

Make sure you print out the codes before your arrival. We were not told to do this and there was no cell service at the property, which is not a problem when you're onsite as there is ample wifi. But there is a gate to access the property, so when we arrived there was no way to get in and no one answered the call button from the gate. We had to drive another 30 minutes back to get enough signal to open the email and take a quick screenshot of all the codes we would need. The property is on a beautiful deep water portion of the Blanco river, which is why we booked it. There are four rooms for rent in a barn, with the middle as communal seating. The room was nicely decorated and the linens on the bed were excellent. It is more like a hotel room than a typical VRBO as far as amenities in the room. There is a mini-fridge, a small sink, a tiny trashcan and a coffeemaker. No coffee or coffee filters provided. Minimal glasses and plates and only a few plastic forks as cutlery. Small microwave and propane grill available for shared use. No ice on site. The main problem was that there is major construction going on directly across the river. When we arrived in the evening it was just an eyesore, but by 9am the next day we could hear the sounds of heavy engines and back up beeps even in our room. Wanting to spend the day on the river it was even louder down there. The noise did not stop until after 5pm. Not a relaxing way to spend a trip to the river :(
