Had to wait for someone to come to the desk and then she forgot to give us a key. I am allergic to feathers and she brought ida new comforter and pillow but it was actually a dirty matresss cover. Was so gross. We just slept under the duvet cover. Hair in the shower. Not impressed at all.

Driving into the hotel was quite dark and the main entrance was not lit up. Parking was difficult to find and no signs for disabled parking visible. The room on entry had a bad odour. However the dinner was lovely and staff friendly., but srroundings were very dull in the restaurant. The hotel itself lacked any atmosphere.

Reception staff need to be more helpful when we checked in no information of where our room was. We had to ask no warm welcome. Not great a great first impression. We were just handed a sheet of paper with information. Spa is dirty. needs a good clean. Again, reception staff not helpful chatting we signed in and then asked where we had to go. Room was lovely, very clean. although walking along main corridors, there were lots of bottles glasses ECT from previous guests left along the windowsills for a long period of time not cleared up until following morning! Housekeeping staff very noisy in the mornings and woke us up, even though we had signs on our doors, asking not to be disturbed. Restaurant, managers, warm and welcoming. Our waiter Craig was outstanding. He’s service and attention to detail was excellent on Valentines evening, our meal was superb. Sunday morning breakfast was absolutely horrendous not enough staff no cups, glasses, plates, bowls. There was literally no food. complete an utter chaos! We had to try and find a table and wait at least 40 minutes with one man trying to do everything!
