Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities
I always check the cleanliness of bedding when staying away from home, and two of the three beds were found to be damaged. The support slats for one single bed were either missing, broken or unsecured, and the frame of another double was broken and a pillow positioned on top of the frame to help support the mattress. The single bed was unsafe and the double is uncomfortable. Sleeping arrangements proved to be inconvenient for our group of four. Shabby throws covered both sofas, which are not shown on the property description. Photographs were taken at the start and end of our stay which evidence no maintenance visit ever took place, despite the owner stating otherwise. The outside patio at the rear of the property is neglected and dirty with rotten apples from the tree spread across the yard. The front path area is very dirty and needs a thorough pressure wash.
The staff on call were unable to help us as they contacted the owner several times, but they did nothing.
There are lots of wonderful properties in the Lakes but sadly, this is not one of them despite a good location. Much better options are available elsewhere.
