Cute, clean, convenient 1 bedroom located in Washington Park within walking distance to NC School of the Arts and to delicious corner cafe/coffee spot/market, beer garden, hot chicken restaurant. Very comfortable stay. Highly recommend, especially for visits to NCSA. Would gladly stay again!
This was a perfect rental from start to finish. The hosts did an excellent job communicating with us. Their check-in procedure was simple and straight forward which made it easy for our late arrival.
The property is just beautiful, well-maintained, and spacious. The space was nice and big. I loved the touches of books to read and the coupon to their favorite coffee shop was a very nice touch. We would happily rent here again.
We stayed for a few days while dropping our oldest at UNCSA for her freshman year. Super convenient to campus and very homey and clean. Will definitely book again.
We stayed 5 nights in this sweet little cozy apartment. We found everything stocked and well organized. The bed was very comfortable. Our host was very prompt to answer any questions we had about the area. We would definitely stay again if in this area again.
The whole unit is a comfortable sized apartment with a little bit of everything going on to make sure youâre prepared for most at home scenarios. Well stocked, roomy, and not so much going on that its easy to lose track of things. The host was polite, quick to respond to questions, and was overall very helpful! I would stay again next time Iâm in the state!
I loved this spacious apartment with beautiful floors, tall ceilings, and the feel of an updated, super clean old historic home. Everything was as advertised and it is easy to access downtown Winston-Salem just minutes away. I was there for an event and also tried some local coffee shops, restaurants, and beautiful pathways for long walks with lovely views. I would definitely stay there again.
This was an ideal stay for visiting the UNCSA campus and Winston-Salem in general. Beautiful, quiet neighborhood, an impeccable home, and very friendly/accessible hosts. I stayed solo this time but had the option of a pullout bed for my (teen) child who was visiting campus. The place is perfect for singles, couples, or a family of 2-3 (or 4 with younger kids who can share a bed). Street parking was a piece of cake but thereâs also a garage. Itâs quite literally across the street from UNCSA, and many amenities are just down the road a mile or two. If our future plans bring us this way I would book again without hesitation. Thanks for making this a lovely trip!
Nice accommodation and Good Location for Visiting Old Salem
We spent a spring weekend at "Rooster and Henny's" place - a small brick duplex in a gentrifying neighborhood near Old Salem. The property was immaculate and the hosts responded to our needs by providing bedding and making up the pull out sofa for us. There was plenty of parking on the street and in the rear as well. The directions on how to navigate to the backdoor parking could be better, so we decided to park on the street. That afternoon and evening, we enjoyed a visit to Incendiary Brewing downtown and a delicious meal at Sage and Salt restaurant a short drive away on Friday. It looks like Winston-Salem is becoming a "foodie" town and from what we sampled, they are on their way!
On Saturday we drove out to Reynolda House Museum and Gardens. The museum is located in the former home of R.J. Reynolds, and it's an interesting home with some excellent works of American art there including one by my favorite - Thomas Hart Benton! Much of the art is displayed in the home, with the nine bedrooms being turned into gallery space. The museum also featured an interesting history on African Americans who worked for the Reynolds family. The gardens with its many blooming plants and trees and the smell of hyacinths and daffodils made this stop a very pleasant way to spend a spring afternoon.
All in all it was a very nice weekend! We may well be back to sample some of the coffee shops and other restaurants that our hosts recommended!
