GingerBread House - A Wonderful week in Nova Scotia
Beautiful rooms, very clean and very nice space, very comfortable and cozy. We chose a unit with a full kitchen as our stay was a week long and we needed to be able to easily have a relaxed schedule - and options if we chose to stay in. This worked out great! Outside sitting areas were lovely and we could sit out on our front porch! Staff was amazing. Any request was very quickly responded to and completed- it was very wonderful. Thank you all!! I highly recommend The Gingerbread House.
We had a wonderful time in Wolfville (my daughter was there for an athletic competition). Our accommodations were adequate for our needs--here are a couple things that may be of interest:
1. Kitchen has a good fridge, stove, and microwave, 4 sets of dishes. There was dish soap but we couldn't find a dish cloth or a dish towel (ended up using a face cloth and hand towel from the bathroom).
2. Bathroom--looks newly renovated and was nice. There were two sets of towels for our week long stay. We didn't inquire to see if there was the option to get more/clean ones.
3. There are 2 tvs. The large one in the sitting area we found to be slow and sometimes unresponsive when trying to stream content from Netflix. The smaller one, by the bed had no issues and was nice to use.
4. The king size bed is very comfortable--made up of 2 single mattresses--each of which is adjustable--head and foot sections--very nice!
5. There is a foam mattress that can be unfolded and used on the floor.
6. There were blankets for both beds but my daughter complained of being cold and we couldn't find more blankets in the room. Again, we did not inquire to see if we could get more.
7. Internet was sketchy at times, but this seemed to be resolved when the router was reset. (Management was very quick to respond to our text in this regard and had the problem dealt with right away).
8. Note that the blinds are electric and are controlled by a remote.
Overall--very good! Thank you!
