Absolutely lovely hotel ! The staff were wonderful, an absolute credit to the hotel! Food really lovely well presented and not overly priced! Only one thing we were not too impressed with the bed , it was just too firm !! A big thanks to the brilliant staff , so friendly 🤗it made our weekend

The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly and the service they all provided was impeccable. Hotel location was perfect for a weekend get away. The bar, restaurant and breakfast room were brilliant as was the food.

This is our third stay at this lovely Victorian hotel. It is ideal for us when visiting our daughter who lives close by. The hotel staff are very polite and friendly and the restaurant and bar serves top notch food and drinks. I am knocking off one star as our room was very cold on this particular stay. The bathroom was huge but had no source heating at all. The bedroom itself was also very large but with only one radiator which was fixed under a large single paned window behind a curtain, thus emitting hardly any heat. We did ask if maybe there was an additional heater we could use, but heard nothing back during our stay. This will not stop us from staying here again, but it is something to be aware of if your stay is in the winter months.

Excellent find, first stay of many i hope. Building lovely with history and charactor which has been thoughtfully maintained. Staff were helpfull and friendly, always engaging. A credit to the hotel. Room was spacious and very clean, furnishings were of high quality and comfortable. Food was varied and of an excellent standard. All round an excellent experience for my first of many visits i hope.

Great location

I had a very warm welcome on arriving. Check was quick with nice staff. Bedroom was fine with ensuite shower room. It was quiet at night and I slept well. Breakfast was excellent well cooked and great value as it was included in the price of the room. Restaurant staff were very friendly and smiled which always nice and doesn't cost anyone anything, so well done 👍. I will come back....

Lovely property but the only thing that lets it down is the exterior of the building. Its very weatherd and some of the structure is being supported and unsightly.
