Great location, central to most things in the park and right near the canyon and waterfall.
Cabins have no AC and no Heat and no microwave and no mini fridge and internet is much worse than your phone data will be. Basically camping with additional rain and wind protection and just as many bugs for a much higher cost.
Food is highschool lunch cafeteria quality (in nearby restaurants too) and the burgers are the same everywhere so get it from the hotel as that is the cheapest price.
Looking at the other properties, I would recommend not staying in the park and look for acceptable accommodations in neighboring cities like Cooke, Gardner or West Yellowstone for better rooms and food.
I would think west yellowstone or cooke would be my preference as west yellowstone is central to lots of things and cooke will take you through lamar valley every morning and evening which would allow you to view a lot of wildlife.
Canyon Lodge was great! Beautiful and comfortable, with modern hotel accommodations. Everything you need is right here in Canyon Village. The food options in the eatery were delicious, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Would recommend this in-park experience!
Parking for our set of Cabins 85-88 was a little sparse because a number of the cabins occupants had 2 vehicles the room was clean a problem with the Bedding the sheet and blanket were to small for the bed
We didn’t get room service any day
We were there 3 days 2 nights we were out of room by 9am
Great job with environmental but if they don’t clean the room , cans got full
Love the fan!! Very quiet firm beds
Nice bathroom
We stayed at the 4 plex cabins which are older but interior is newly remodeled (4star). For $500/night could have provided 1) microwave 2) small fridge 3) 2 bottles of water. Did appreciate WiFi. PARKING IS TERRIBLE!!!! good luck. Don’t check in late! Of places we stayed in the park, this was the nicest and most convenient to Grand Canyon trails and food, shopping and gas options. Price is hefty but we consider it a donation to the Nat’l Park . The convenience of not having to drive out of the park every night was worth it.
No network coverage and had to depend on hotel wifi account for Internet access. A little dated property and limited dining options with hardly any vegetarian or vegan options
The Canyon Lodge was very comfortable & clean. But the dining options there are awful. Unless you want hamburgers or hot dogs at every meal, there's not much to choose from.
Filthy room! Built up hair in corner of bathroom. Food on floor upon check in. Dirty floors in hallway. Didn’t even bother complaining because we didn’t want to move all our stuff. Spent minimal time in room. Too bad as location and lodge center shops were ok. I will be sending pics to management. Not for compensation but to show them how disgusting it was.
