We had a wonderful four night stay at Launde Barn near York, and it was everything we’d hoped for and more. The barn is beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, comfortably furnished, and thoughtfully equipped with everything needed for a relaxing break. It strikes the perfect balance between rustic character and modern comfort.The location is ideal: peaceful and rural, yet close enough to York and also to the coast for easy day trips.The sauna is a lovely addition which we really enjoyed making use of.In the nearby village there is a pub that we visited for Sunday lunch. It's a short walk away from the property and the food was excellent.There is also a decent bus service from the village into York.The hosts clearly take great pride in the property. Communication was excellent from start to finish, with clear instructions and helpful local tips. It felt welcoming from the moment we arrived, and all the little details had clearly been considered.Overall, Launde Barn we had a truly relaxing and memorable short break. We strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable countryside stay near York, and we would happily return ourselves.

7 of us stayed here to celebrate our joint 50th birthdays last weekend and what an amazing place to do it! This property is phenomenal! It’s spacious but cosy, and the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing weekend with friends. We made great use of the sauna which takes only 30 mins to heat up (and some of us braved the cold bath!) We made friends with the locals (Bebe and the sheep!) and went for a walk around the local village and woods. Cyntra was so friendly and welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed, even providing a homemade cake on arrival! Our only issue would be that we didn’t want to leave - what Cyntra has created is a beautiful countryside haven that’s modern and fresh without feeling out of place, the property has everything you could need and feels like a real home away from home. The pics online don’t do it justice - we were blown away when we arrived. Couldn’t recommend this property or the host enough! Thanks for an amazing weekend Cyntra. X(Also recommend the George Hotel in Easingwold for food - delicious! And the wait staff are legends).

Kitchen was beautiful. We really appreciated the home baked lemon loaf cake that was waiting for us on arrival. The expresso machine was great but would’ve appreciated instructions and only enough expresso powder for one cup - had to go buy more immediately.

A beautiful reclaimed barn on a farm in Yorkshire 8 miles from York

What a great house! Everything we needed for 3 days in Yorkshire. Sheep and Alpaca at the farm, a sauna in the evenings with a cold plunge. We cooked, visited and relaxed in this lovely house.

We loved the Launde barn! The grounds and animals are a real highlight, and the interior is cozy and comfortable. The owners have put a lot of thought into the guest experience and Cyntra and Marcus are lovely and welcoming. The kitchenware (pans, utensils, etc) could use a refresh, but we probably cook more than most guests. The espresso machine was a delight. We can't wait to be back next year!

Fantastic Accommodation and Hosts

We stayed at Launde Barn for a family birthday celebration and I would recommend the barn and its hosts in a heartbeat! Barn was modern, smartly furnished, very well equipped (kitchen and outdoor games especially), and cleaned to a very high standrard. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor space with the calming backdrop of the sheep.Cyntra and Marcus were very welcoming and communicative hosts from the outset. Highly recommended and we would love to return. Thanks for a great few days :-)

Superb Place to Stay

We loved everything about the Barn. It was spotlessly clean, had everything you needed including the peace and quiet of a beautiful countryside setting. Would not hesitate to recommend here for anyone looking for a break with a large group of friends or family where you just want to chill and enjoy each others company and the amazing scenery. The owner was lovely to deal with, she gave us some recommendations before our stay and responded within 24 hrs even baked us an among loaf cake for our stay. Thanks so much Launde Barn.

60th Birthday Family Getaway

This house is beautiful, there is everything you may need and more. The hosts go above and beyond to ensure your stay is enjoyed, we were delayed in our arrival time and had ordered a food delivery which the host very kindly received and put away in the fridge. Peaceful and close to the Dales where we enjoyed lovely walks. The sauna and lumi pod was a nice treat too! Would highly recommend to anybody wanting a family get away. You will not want for anything, house is very well equipped and lovely lemon drizzle cake upon arrival. Thank you!!

Exceeded expectations!

My first thought when we got to the venue was ‘oh wow this is beyond what I expected!’ I was blown away at the beauty of the property and surroundings, the layout and finishing touches of the property make it so homely but still clean & well finished without being crowded. The extra touch of a homemade loaf and a little note was such a treat, everything had been thought of and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, I will definitely recommend to friends & family. A beautiful barn in a great location

We rented the barn for four nights for a family birthday party. Everything is decorated to the highest standard with beautiful bedding, towels and soft furnishings. All the bedrooms are a good size. We loved the open plan kitchen and lounge and the dining space was perfect for our party. We were greeted warmly by our host and nothing was too much trouble. The outdoor space is fabulous and the village is beautiful. We had a wonderful time from start to finish.

Beautiful accommodation in beautiful grounds

Such beautiful accommodation which had everything we needed. The layout was perfect for us and having the pool table and the assortment of games was great. The bonus of a sauna was great! The grounds were lovely with the sheep and Beebee the alpaca who was really entertaining. The woods were beautiful for a wander and we even managed to see the owl. Thank you for a perfect week.

Second visit to this property

We came back to visit with other family members and enjoyed our stay just as much as the first. Some of us were a little under the weather and so it was lovely to have a relaxing, beautiful environment in which to rest. We were even able to avail ourswlves of the sauna which had been installed since the last time we visited back in September. A delightful property! i wish we could find something similar to one day for us to live in!
