Definitely a clean (if small) room with decent amenities, and three beds (two hideaway), a nice change if you have multiple kids. Plenty of parking and a convenient distance from Yosemite Valley (about 30 very scenic minutes), Bridalveil Fall, and the road to Glacier Point. Also surprisingly cool on hot days, with a fairly quiet ceiling fan.
However.
âą You donât get keys â do NOT lose your 9-digit door code. There ARE keys in a lockbox outside the door, but Vacasa wonât give you access to them unless itâs an emergency. Thereâs no on-site staff that we could find, so you have to call Seattle.
âą The outdoor George Foreman Grill did not work. The stove inside did, but thereâs no working ventilation, so the place can get a bit smokey.
âą The big TV is effectively useless. Poor WiFi means no streaming, and there are no DVD options.
âą The screen door to the patio fell off in my hand the second I touched it. That made it tougher to keep bugs out, and as these were hot days, keeping the glass door closed wasnât an option.
âą Similarly, one fold-out section on the Queen hideaway bed fell off, and we couldnât find a way to re-attach it. This made one side of the Queen hideaway largely unusable.
âą We all found the beds pretty hard and the sheets unusually rough and scratchy.
We tried calling to get these things addressed, but some couldnât be fixed before our stay ended, and some wonât be fixed. But if none of these issues would effect or bother you, it could prove a decent stay.
