Check in process was fine and easy. However, the place was not super clean. Hairs on bathroom counters, crumbs around the kitchen and the most annoying part was that the clothes dryer didnât work. Kind of important to be able to do laundry when hiking all day. Texted and called the property managers and they responded 24 hours later with, âsorry, we needed to let the owner knowâ. Never got fixed. Itâs a pretty location with beautiful views, but the cleanliness was average and if you are on the 2nd floor be ready to hear every footstep of the tennant upstairs.
First, the owners are great to work with when it comes to check in and check out. Nothing to complain about there. Second, when it says you are 15 miles from Yosemite Village know that that is a 35 minute drive. Just something to consider after a grueling day of hiking. Lastly, this place is outdated. The pictures on the listing were obviously when things were at its best. The kitchen cabinets are hard to open they have so much grease build up. The countertops are outdated with stains in the grout and caulk (gross). The kitchen supplies are old and grimy. Honestly, besides the new bed frames on the beds every other thing in this condo would be better off burned. It wouldnât hurt the owners to upgrade a few things here and there. Even the sheets had holes in them. Also, after doing a full load of laundry we discovered the dryer does not work. What a mess drying wet clothes all over the condo. When we asked the owners about this situation they stopped communicating with us. I am definitely mad at myself that I didnât take any pictures.
Very comfortable and good location. The unit is in desperate need of a redresh, but that did not bother is that much. Loved the large deck, and the whole family loved having their own bathroom.
The actual place is great. Beds comfortable, kitchen good, fun pool table. 5 stars.  You need to understand the location. If you are booking in the height of summer, ignore this paragraph! The unit is inside the park and at a high elevation. If there is ANY snow, it is a challenge to get to. Chains are very often required (and necessary). The driveway is a particular challenge although someone was working hard to keep it clear. One day we left the park valley floor at 5 and there was a ranger at the Wawona Exit from the valley who simply said "There are accidents on the road. It is closed for a few hours." This wasn't reflected on the telephone message for the park, nor the boards. Just a ranger blocking off the road. Note that our visit was in April, the week before it had been 60 degrees in the park. April snowstorms are REAL. We still had a great time and would totally recommend the unit. Just know the location!
We enjoyed our stay, especially the location in the park. The winding road to get there was a little unnerving; wouldnât want to drive it in the dark! Beds were comfy and showers were hot. Other than the beds and shower, we didnât use anything because our stay was just overnight.
We saw 2 deer and kept our eyes peeled for a bear which was not seen. My only concern regarding the house was the railing and individual step when approaching the front door. We are in our 70âs and yes a little clumsy but the individual step isnât as obvious as it should be. I tripped going in, and once again when leaving. Would be nice to have it marked somehow. The railing separating the steps from the deck is pretty flimsy and Iâd recommend stabilizing it before another clumsy 70 yr old relies on the railing when stumbling off that pesky individual step. Happy stay in a gorgeous park!
It's a little dated and could have been a little cleaner but overall a great place to stay to enjoy Yosemite. It has everything you need and plenty of room to socialize or have some privacy.
My family had an amazing time at Yosemite!!! We will definitely be back and will stay at this place again. Very spacious. Clean. Quite. Beautiful. Inside the park.
We stayed here before and after we hiked Half Dome. It was great to have a place where we could really relax before and after the long day. Would definitely stay here again!
We went to Yosemite three days two nights trip . We were lucky found this place to stay. The owner keeps the house clean and offers everything you needed. It is only 30 mins to drive to Yosemite Village. Super recommend this house to Yosemite trips. We are definitely will return on next trip.
Lower Cascades felt like home in Yosemite NP. Well equipped kitchen, plenty of linens and amenities this place was perfect for large families. We absolutely enjoyed our stay.
