We loved loved loved this place! Itâs so beautiful, so peaceful. The lower deck looks out over a little stream and beautiful trees. There is a neighbor to the right, but no one to the left, so it feels pretty private. The hosts were great about checking in with us several times to make sure everything was ok, and very responsive when we had questions. Another review described it as a âbucket list â kind of place, and we agree!
The house is exactly as described, and the positive and recent reviews are accurate. It is towards the end of the development, which means it is pretty quiet. You can hear the river... especially at night if you leave a window open. But, the river is far enough down the hill that you don't have to worry about the kids wandering down and getting too close.Internet is fast... cell service is terrible (not the property's fault)The back deck is awesome and the propane firepit is awesome. Not sure what else to say other than when we go back to Yosemite, we will absolutely stay here again.Oh, I will add that it is a drive to the valley. Every bit of an hour. So, plan accordingly. It was not a big deal for us as we were only going to the valley twice in a 5 day stay.
10 adults stayed there for 3 nights. The deck and living room were great place to gather in the mornings and evenings. The house is in a quiet neighborhood away from the crowds of the valley. The kids saw a mountain lion by the trailhead for the waterfall not far from the house.
Itâs a beautiful location. Staff were very easy to reach and quick to respond. However it felt not very clean. Dirt and dust on stairs, dirt oven, stained rug and shabby wood work.
We had three glorious nights here. The fire pit, the outdoor bbq and the spacious living space was so enjoyable. The sound of the river going lulled us to sleep every night. All of us had a great time. Definitely planning to return.
This property exceeded our expectations. This was a very special trip because we were taking my boyfriendâs mom who has wanted to go to Yosemite National Park since she was 16 years old. It was really a bucket list opportunity to take her there and so we wanted to make sure everything went well. I picked this property because it looked like the most well-maintained and all inclusive house I could find in the park at a reasonable price. It definitely exceeded our expectations. It is right on the river. You can look down from the second floor balcony and see a beautiful river flowing and hear it while youâre sleeping in bed. All of the appliances worked perfectly, and it was amazing that it had a sort of vintage decor, but everything was still in perfect condition down to the toaster! It was a toaster from the 50s that worked perfectly, which was really fun to see all of those gadgets from another time. The spot had everything that we needed and more and was absolutely gorgeous and embodied everything you want to experience at Yosemite. But I think the most impressive part was the Customer Service. You can reach somebody at any point of the day and they are happy to assist. We were having trouble finding the house and we drove in at like 11 PM at night. We were pretty stressed and the guy that got on the phone with us was so kind and funny and helped us find exactly where it was. It was a great way to start the trip being that he was so friendly! Definitely book the spot!
Well equiped, as beautiful as it looked in the pictures. We had a few issues with things not working, breakers tripping, etc, and hosts were quick to answer when we reached out.
Note if it matters to you - river is far below property and not accessible at that point. In the fall when water is low, it was hard to even see. There is a great swinging bridge trail that gets you to places you could access the river.
Note
It was our fist time visiting Yosemite and we wanted to stay in an area that would be somewhat close to all the significant sights. The home was comfortable and clean. Very spacious and neighborhood was very peaceful. Would highly recommend.
This cabin was a great place for our base of operations in Yosemite National Park! Our group of 8 people had plenty of room to spread out. Our favorite place to have our morning coffee was on the spacious deck with a beautiful view of the forest and the sound of the river below. The house is very close to the Swinging Bridge trail, which has a great swimming hole on the river. Our visit was in mid-July and it was hot, which made it difficult for the upstairs to stay cool, but that didn't deter from the great time we had.
Enjoyed our stay. Suggestions: twin beds were uncomfortable. We bought coffee filters but left them since we don't use that type at home. The A/C did not work upstairs. The water pressure was great. The stovetop is not working correctly with two of them not functioning at all.
