There were rules for parking and when you can use the hot tub, like having to ask to turn it on. Understand the cost saver by not having it run all day, but kind of an issue when you have to ask to have it turned on.
The host was very responsive and the location perfect. There was plenty of room for our group. We enjoyed using the pool table and we're glad we could wash our clothes after a day in the desert.
I looked forward to games, pool time and cooking with my adult children but was very disappointed with this property. If you pay for pool heating, be aware that either the pool or spa are heated but not at the same time. You need to text to have the spa turned on about an hour before use. Also the spa jets sound like a jet engine. There was green algae in the pool until the day before we left when the pool guy came and cleaned it then it was beautiful. One of the outdoor chairs is broken and needs to be replaced.Overall the house was clean with lots of towels and had upgraded mattresses. However, while searching for the tv remote we found crumbs and a dried dog turd in the couch cushions and dirt beneath the couch. We tried to set up the cornhole game which was broken and the foosball table was in the locked garage. The pool table was nice.On Motherâs Day, my daughter found cooking brunch a challenge as the stove griddle and one burner didnât work. We also had to wash all the dishes and silverware prior to use as some of the dishes were stuck together when we arrived. This house needs some love. There are blinds that are damaged and a drape rod that is pulled out of the sheet rock. Also the refrigerator has multiple dents in the doorsâworks fine but looks trashy. The can opener is broken and needs to be replaced.
The photos make this place look amazing and we were so excited to stay there, but our stay was marred by missing amenities, dirty/beat up home and items, and a cold pool. Some of the issues: Pool area was trashy, with beer cans and a used condom on full display. In the photos it shows two hammocks: there was one, thrown over the wall and into the yard. No outdoor chairs on the lawn as pictured, but a couple of broke down folding camp chairs. Not enough seating indoors for all of us to eat at the same time. Not enough bath towels for all guests. Not enough hangers at all - like 10 in the whole house and no dressers in most if not all of the rooms. No plastic cups for eating outside- how can that be when thereâs a pool? I was texting with the management every day and while they were responsive, I think thereâs only so much they can do if the homeowners will not agree to replace/repair/keep up the items and the home. Hope they can get things back on track!
We rented this property to celebrate my momâs birthday. It was a full house with people of all ages! Everyone slept comfortably, house was tidy and had many fun amenities like a pool table and jacuzzi/pool. The cornhole needs to be replaced, and the fooseball table needs some work, but overall lots of space to hang out as a family and enjoy the view. Highly recommend this space, especially for a bigger party. Staff who run the property were awesome and responsive as well. Just make sure to keep it down after 10, and donât park on the street. The driveway fit 2 trucks (one with a trailer), a sedan and a small suv.
We enjoyed our stay here very much. Plenty of space for a family of 5, great backyard. I do wish we had remembered to request for the pool to be heated - even in late May with pretty high daytime temps the pool was too cold to enjoy. When I realized it, it was too late to request heating. Overall it was a great property and we would stay there again if we are ever in the area again.
A nice stay and a good price. We ended up hitting bad weather so it was nice to have all of the extras at the house to occupy the kids ( pool table, BIG TV, swimming pool [though didnât use this due to the SNOW and the cost/impracticality of heating it]). The initial impression of the outside of the house is that itâs a bit beat up, but the inside was very nice and the back yard space around the pool offered a lot of room to expand in good weather. Good proximity to Joshua Tree NP.
Check-in and communication with host was a breeze. Property manager is helpful and responsive so our issues were attended to in a timely manner.
A few areas of improvement would be having the spa heated as we had to request the property manager to heat it every time we wanted to use it. And when we did, the water level dropped down to where it was nearly empty so we never got to use the spa. The kitchen has dull knives and one tiny 6"x6" cutting board so definitely pack your own if you plan to cook. The grill was not clean, which made it extremely difficult to light. Only one burner lit and it was very low flame, and the grease pan was full which caught fire. When we mentioned this to the host, they delivered a new one (the next day). We had planned our meals around the grill so this was a unfortunate event. The bathroom lights are on an automatic sensor so it's an assault to the eyes if you use the bathroom in the middle of the night. We would prefer a manual switch for that reason.
Although we ran into some issues, the property manager was quick to respond and remedy the situation. Would be a 5 star rating had everything been in working condition, including the kitchenware. We suggest this property if the suggested improvements are in place.
The property was amazing, the whole management team was very understand and there for any of our needs. 15 min drive from J tree natl park! Great place to relax!
