Doch von Museen und Kinos \u00fcber P\u00e4rke und Gesch\u00e4fte bis zu Restaurants steckt die Metropole voller familienfreundlicher Attraktionen. Egal ob Sie etwas Anregendes, Unterhaltendes, Lehrreiches oder einfach nur Leckeres suchen \u2013 in New York finden Sie es bestimmt. Dieses gem\u00fctliche Caf\u00e9 erweist Alice im Wunderland von Lewis Carroll die Reverenz, und unser 6-J\u00e4hriger war ganz begeistert vom ausgefallenen Dekor. Dieses Museum, eines der gr\u00f6ssten der Welt, besteht aus einer Bibliothek, einem Planetarium und 45 Ausstellungss\u00e4len in 25 miteinander verbundenen Geb\u00e4uden. Zuerst schauten wir uns die drei eindr\u00fccklichen Dinosaurier-Skelette in der riesigen Eingangshalle an, dann gingen wir in den vierten Stock hinauf, wo sich seit 2016 der fast 6 Meter hohe Titanosaurier befindet. In der Hall of Ocean Life bestaunten wir den riesigen Blauwal und in der Hall of African Mammals die lebensgrossen afrikanischen Elefanten. Gerade rechtzeitig erreichten wir das IMAX-Kino, um einen faszinierenden Film \u00fcber Buckelwale zu sehen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Nach dem Film machten wir uns auf den Weg in den Central Park f\u00fcr eine kurze Fahrt auf dem Karussell. Das im Stil der 1950er-Jahre gehaltene Restaurant serviert Corn Beef und Pastrami-Sandwiches, aber auch ein Kindermenu mit Hot Dogs, Chicken Nuggets und Macaroni &#8216;n&#8217; Cheese. Alle Gerichte werden von singendem Bedienungspersonal an den Tisch gebracht.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Als wir uns an der Show sattgesehen hatten, brachen wir auf zu den glitzernden Lichtern des Times Square. Diese enorm belebte Fussg\u00e4ngerzone wird oft als die \u00abKreuzung der Welt\u00bb bezeichnet. Wir passten auf, die Kinder im Gew\u00fchl nicht zu verlieren, und arbeiteten uns zu den treppenf\u00f6rmig \u00fcber den TKTS-Billettschaltern angeordneten Sitzb\u00e4nken durch. Von hier aus kann man die ganze Szenerie von den Leuchtreklamen bis zu den Broadway-Theatern und dem Ort, wo zu Neujahr jeweils der Zeitball herabgelassen wird, prima \u00fcberblicken. Nach ein paar Fotos st\u00fcrzten wir uns in die riesige M&amp;M&#8217;s World, um die verschiedenen Geschmacksrichtungen zu probieren, und in den Disney Store, um etwas Spielzeug zu kaufen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Als N\u00e4chstes war Madame Tussauds dran, das ber\u00fchmte Wachsfigurenkabinett mit Figuren von Sportlern, Politikern, Schauspielern und andern Prominenten. Dieser Familienbetrieb ist ein klassisches italo-amerikanisches Restaurant, das nebst Pizza auch gratinierte Auberginen, Chicken Heroes und Baked Ziti serviert \u2013 ein vielf\u00e4ltiges Menu f\u00fcr die ganze Familie.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">V\u00f6llig vollgestopft fuhren wir im Taxi zur Radio City Music Hall, wo bis Silvester das allj\u00e4hrliche \u00abChristmas Spectacular\u00bb lief. Von unseren Pl\u00e4tzen auf der zweiten Empore hatten wir perfekte Sicht auf die ber\u00fchmte Tanzgruppe The Rockettes, die uns mit ihrem legend\u00e4ren Trick der fallenden Soldatenreihe begeisterten.
