Overview

The Telica volcano is located 30 kilometres from the city of Leon and belongs to the Maribios mountain chain. It is 1060 metres high and its crater has a depth of 120 metres and 700 metres of diameter. The last violent eruption was in 1948.

Once arrived to the crater you can see the large amount of smoke and gases released by the volcano as well as lava or glowing stones inside.
