The Premium admission is your all-access ticket to one of the world's most iconic swimming experiences: full entry to the lagoon and its facilities, use of a dressing gown and towel, a drink at the in-water bar, a trio of face masks at the mask bar, and a Silica Mud Mask (10 ml) to take home.
Recognised by National Geographic as one of its 25 Wonders of the World, the Blue Lagoon sits amid volcanic lava fields on Iceland's Reykjanes Peninsula, inside a UNESCO Global Geopark. Just 20 minutes from Keflavík airport and about 45 minutes from Reykjavík, the Blue Lagoon is easy to reach and worth building your whole Iceland trip around. It's unlike anything else on earth.
The showers are stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. Once you've showered and changed, step out into the famous blue waters. There's also an in-water entrance, so you can slip straight from the changing rooms into the warm geothermal seawater without stepping outside.
The lagoon invites you to soak, socialise, take pictures, or simply do whatever the moment calls for. At around 10,000 square metres, the Blue Lagoon is the largest lagoon in Iceland, with peaceful nooks and quiet corners all around. If you're looking for extra space and privacy, head to the quiet zone at the far end of the lagoon.
Make sure to stop by the in-water mask bar for your three included face masks. The skincare ingredients are drawn from the Blue Lagoon water itself and are known for their effect on the skin: choose from the Silica Mud Mask, Algae Mask, Mineral Mask, and Lava Scrub Mask. As part of your Premium admission, you'll also take home a Silica Mud Mask to continue the ritual. Nearby, the swim-up bar awaits with a selection of refreshing drinks, and your admission includes one drink of your choice.
The warm, milky-blue water is geothermal seawater: a mineral-rich blend of 70% seawater and 30% freshwater, rich in silica, algae, and minerals studied for over 30 years for their skin-healing powers. The Blue Lagoon was never purpose-built. It emerged as a byproduct of geothermal energy production and was shaped by the landscape around it. The water is naturally clean and self-renews every 40 hours, with no additives or chemicals needed. The location, the origin, and the composition of the water are just some of what sets the Blue Lagoon apart from any other swimming destination in the world.
