Depart from Sapporo to Cape Kamui, a top Hokkaido scenic spot. Hike the 400m lush trail to a sharp promontory jutting into the Sea of Japan. Stand on the cliff—deep blue sea below, endless horizon ahead, a stunning natural wonder! Sea breeze touches your cheeks, waves crash on steep rocks, as if whispering old legends. 360° panoramic sea views unfold as you walk; every photo is postcard-perfect. Whether with your lover to watch the sunset or alone enjoying nature, it frees you from worries, leaving only freedom and peace. Note: During the Cape Kamui portion of the tour, arrangements may vary depending on the circumstances.
【Otaru Canal】
The soul of retro Otaru! The 1,140m canal is lined with 63 vintage gas lamps and Meiji-Taisho stone warehouses, now turned into glass studios, speciality restaurants and more. Wander along vintage kerosene lamps, red-brick warehouses, cobblestone paths, all like a journey back to the romantic Taisho port town. It’s also the filming location of Shunji Iwai’s classic Love Letter, with stories in every step and cinematic frames everywhere.
【Blue Cave Adventure】
A stunning natural sea cave measuring 30 metres long and 15 metres high, famous for its magical blue glow created by sunlight filtering through the seawater (the effect is most vivid on clear, sunny days). Due to recent rockfalls inside the cave, our cruise will no longer enter the cave interior and will only sail around the outer area of the Blue Cave.
NOTE: Boat tickets are not included in the base tour price and can be added as an optional extra. On-site tickets frequently sell out due to high demand, so early arrangements are highly recommended. If the boat cruise is suspended due to strong wind, heavy rain or other severe weather, travellers can choose either extended visiting time at Otaru Canal or a full refund for the cruise fee.
【Shiroi Koibito Park】A chocolate-themed park by Ishiya Seika, named after Hokkaido’s iconic souvenir “Shiroi Koibito” cookie. The park replicates 19th-century British Yorkshire architecture, with a chocolate history museum, hands-on workshops and four-season flower gardens—like stepping into a romantic fairy tale.
Dual Land & Sea Experience: Enjoy Hokkaido’s magnificent seascape and Otaru’s romantic streets in one day—double beauty unlocked at once! Come with us to collect Otaru’s best moments in a day! Blue sea, blue cave, sweet desserts and romantic canal—this is the perfect Hokkaido holiday!
