We had a double room which was lovely. Heater provided was helpful as it was windy, rainy and cold one of the days. Everything was great. We are dinner in the hotel one night and it was good. Service was excellent. We had the buffet breakfast one morning (planned to do both) and it was not very good. Very few items. The coffee was undrinkable. However the staff and service were great!

Horrible stay, no service at all

The rooms located on the roof floor which was terribly hot and small. The bathroom sink was easily filled with water and didn’t go well in drainage system, which was very slippery and dangerous. Bins in room was broken. Waited for an hour to have someone check on the water temperature in bathroom.

Good: Nice view and sound of the waves through the night. Bad: Smelly (stale, and bathroom of urine and worse in the morning). Bathroom floor not adequate. Sheets stained, everything a bit sticky. Plaster on the carpets all the way up the stairs. The noise of drunken guests lumbering upstairs/falling into my door woke me several times in the night. For over £100 (£130), clean sheets, no toilet-smell and a bathroom with floor covering attached to the floor would be more like it.

Seafront hotel

Excellent location in a lovely seaside town

Second time staying here and both rooms have been excellent. Recommend asking for a sea-view as I have had on both visits, really lovely to watch the waves go in and out and a superb sunset. Very happy to stay here again

Curate's Egg

Breakfast and dinner were excellent. Reception was very confusing. Still behind Covid screens. Superior Double booked and paid for through Hotels.com but invoiced again direct from hotel. Charged an additional £60 for breakfasts, but not sure if correct. Room was 72 -1b and no sign it was "superior" , Electric fittings were excellent but the bed had been moved to the wrong place for them. The bathroom had no shelf or even a hook to place a towell or toothbrush, etc.

Weekend retreat

Came for a weekend away. This is our 5/6th time here. Our room was fresh and nice carpet's and well presented plus lovely shower. Staff are always so friendly and helpful. We always go 2nd floor and Seaview. Just so lovely watching the world go by from the chair at the window. We always include a trip to the Italian restaurant at the same time. Will come again. Bonus onsite carparking.

Lovely welcome on arrival. Arrived at 3pm and got one of the last 3 parking spaces bethel. Later discovered a bigger car park linked to hotel across the road. Hotel was clean and well kept for an older building. My room was spacious but the other 2 rooms booked for family were a little tight. Breakfast was top notch

Not a superior room - attic room!

I booked a superior twin room as I was visiting Aber with a friend. I emailed the hotel via Hotels.com asking them to ensure it was a twin room and could we have a sea view please. I heard nothing back so rang the hotel a couple of nights before we were due and the lady on reception confirmed we had a twin room with a sea view on the first floor. However when my friend and I checked in on the Saturday we were told we were on the 2nd floor. When I queried this we were told they didn't have any other rooms. When we got to the 2nd floor we realised we had to then go up another flight of stairs to our room so it was in fact the 3rd floor and an attic room. Very disappointed.
