Stayed here during the end of May and it was very expensive (~$800 for 3 nights) for what we got. We paid for a deluxe room and it was a tiny room (no couch or sitting area). Luckily my husband and I only had backpacks and two carry on suitcase but it wasn’t what we were expecting. In addition, the bathroom shower had mold everywhere in the grout and the light was broken in the shower our entire stay. Service wise, the staff is very nice and can help answer questions. It’s not a traditional hotel and they call themselves a boutique so there’s only usually 1 person available to chat with unless there’s a shift change. There can be a wait to ask questions. Other than the room and service, it’s located in the Gothic Quarters or old area of Barcelona and easily walkable or hop on public transportation. There are a lot of restaurants around the hotel and at night time, it’s very safe and they lock the gates so you need a code to get in.

Nice boutique hotel. Nice staff. Lovely room. Clean. In the heart of the gothic area. For breakfast you can go nearby at a lovely and old cafe named Croissanterie del Pi. Would definitely go back!

Excellent service and nice accommodations. The showers had mold in it but they cleaned up as best they could as soon as we asked. Neighborhood is not the best for grown adults.

Pretty boutique hotel in great location

Great location. Very clean, and helpful friendly staff. Trendy boutique style. They'll book transfers for you and our picks up outside which is great as it's a little way of La Rambla with a lot of cases.

The hotel staff was the first of many great impressions. Each staff person was nice and helpful. They each spoke English to assist us. They made helpful suggestions of where to go and not go. They also provided us with restaurant recommendations that were excellent. They also helped us with taxi transportation to the airport. Thanks to all of the staff. The hotel room was huge with a separate sitting area. The bathroom area had a sizable area with a walk-in shower. In addition, the room was quiet. Highest recommendation and I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Intimate Boutique Hotel

What a great hotel. Very small and very quiet. Staff very kind and attentive. Check in and out a breeze. Hotel location is amazing! You are right in the heart of the Gothic Quarter, surrounded by shopping, restaurants, and bars. A short walk to everything from historic sites to public transportation.

Poor quality and 1st impression when we entered our room, there were a lot of hair under the blanket on the bed sheets from the previous guests. The hotel itself is inside a mall and you'd need to go through the mall to enter the hotel. Overall we don't recommend this hotel.

We enjoyed a beautiful three night stay at the Malda Hotel, which is situated perfectly in the old Gothic quarters. Beautiful shops, restaurants, and sites are all within walking distance. Because of the construction going on in the city, we opted not to have a car during our stay in Barcelona, and we enjoyed the very convenient and easy to use metro and bus systems to get around when we were not going by foot. Our room was beautiful and well appointed, with a very comfortable bed, and beautiful bathroom facility. The staff was very helpful and organizing a taxi to pick us up on the morning of our departure, so we had nothing to worry about when it was time to leave, other than thinking about when we would return. We are grateful for the experience we had at this hotel and in the beautiful city of Barcelona.

Once you figure out how to find this hidden gem, you will enjoy the large comfortable rooms, great service, and the fantastic location in the middle of everything. It’s a great little hotel. The cleaning staff was excellent!
