The area was well lit, clean and easy to get to our room. The room was very spacious, clean and accommodating. The bed was not the most comfortable, but we slept well. The only complaint was numerous outlets and usb outlets did not work. The coffee and shampoos/soaps were nice, which is an important side note for me. We felt safe in the area too. Breakfast was “grab & go” with granola bars, apples, oranges, and little muffins. The coffee was good and they had tea. We would return to this hotel again.

Non smoking, which is great for my adthma. However, one group of people decided not to obey that and the fire alarm went off in all rooms plus turned on sprinklers in that room. Felt bad for managememt. They also need to skip yhe virtual check in as some of us are not tech savy. Staff was great !

good location but everything else is lacking

The microwave didn't work. The fire alarm went off from 8:50 to 9:25 pm - so loud that it's impossible to stay in room or outside. It uses kiosk to check-in instead of a real person. The kiosk couldn't make key cards for 10 min while the technician kept trying to fix. Pathetic breakfast - costco snack bars and a basket of apples. A maid stood there to "supervise" guests taking items. The only good thing is location.

The property and room was exceptionally clean! This was my first time using a live person kiosk front desk, and was pleasantly surprised at how easy she made it. Although comfortable, the bed was too firm for my liking. We had a fire alarm go off our last night, which i felt could have been handled a little better, as far as communication with customers. Overall, it was a nice place.

The hotel is pretty much on the water. Just walk around the corner. There were several times when they didn’t have a real person at the desk. They had a video of a person. Not terrible just different. Breakfast was not good. The muffins were stale, they had granola, apples, coffee. They also did not have room service. If you need extra towels you have to request it.

Crescent City Gem

So, this hotel is awesome! Our room wasn't ready when we were checking in and we were given a complimentary upgrade to a two queen bed room, which had a partial ocean view. The beds were very comfortable and gave us a great night's sleep. Definitely would stay here again. It was walking distance to two restaurants and a great area to walk the dogs.

No elevator. Couldnt get room warm enough the first night. Figured it out 2nd night. Sheets on one of the beds had fecal material between the sheets. When to alert staff but staff is only available by talking to a person in a kiosk. Very unprofessional. Availability for food choices were very limited. Ate at a local diner..staff great but very limited seating and menu. No real chains except for McDonalds

Dead bugs in bed

We booked a queen bed room at the end of a day of traveling as far as we could up the coast. I had seen lots of positive reviews, but felt the experience was lackluster. The main issues were with the bed which had dead bugs, stains, hairs, and pilling. Not many options to remediate the situation as there was no staff in the main lobby, only a kiosk with a virtual agent. Unsure whether the bugs were bed bugs or not we kept our luggage in the bath tub. Freaked my wife out pretty good which made for a long night of considering other options… thanks!

Do not expect any staff interaction. Check is was with remote employee through a kiosk. Breakfast was a sparce afair. Everything is prepackaged grab and go. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Shower was clean but older step in tub. Bathroom had a burnt smell but could not locate the source. Right next to the beach and harbor. Sea Lions were in the harbor. Overall a good stay for the price.

So far this is a really perfect place for us. It has three beds and no carpet so we do not need to worry about the sand from the beach. The tub drains slow but other than that, no complaints. I did not mind the virtual check in. She was very nice and so friendly.
