Parking is located offsite and a shuttle provides transportation from the parking lot to the property. In order to reach the offsite parking lot please follow the below instructions. Take the Trans Canada Highway heading west towards Field and Golden, BC. The turnoff to Emerald Lake Lodge is located 1 kilometer west of Field, BC. Follow the road for 8 kilometers until a sign that says 'Overnight Guest Parking.' Turn left into the parking lot. In the parking lot is a cabin. Use the telephone in the cabin to call the front desk. A shuttle will be sent to pick up guests.

The location is stunning, surrounded by nature, a little corner of paradise. However, I was disappointed by the reception staff—rude and dismissive, especially upon our arrival—and even more by the condition of the room. The room wasn't clean, it smelled of damp clothes and mold, there were spider webs everywhere on the ceiling between the bathroom and the bed, and (even though they knew there would be two of us sharing the room) there was only one amenity kit for one of us, which we had to share... I'm very disappointed; it's definitely not worth the expense for just one night.

The property is somewhat tired and maintenance is an issue. Our room needed a new bed, for example. The restaurant was understaffed at breakfast and was very chaotic with non-existent service. The sauna was very nice. The main thing to know about this property is that views are very limited from the property itself due to the steep hill and dense trees. The property is also flooded with day visitors during the summer who really have nowhere to go as there is no open area by the lake. I would not stay here again during the summer.

Very disappointed. I kind of felt like a bait and switch. We paid for a nice room on the lake thru your website. When we got there, they changed it out to no Lakeview and older cabin with broken windows that didn’t open on a hot day. You have to wait for a shuttle cart to get to your cabin; not good if u have luggage because it will take at least an hour each way from the far away parking lot. I was hoping for a refund for the difference, but they didn’t comply because I didn’t book directly which was disappointing. Definitely will pass next time in the area. There are a lot better choices!!

Overlooking emerald lake, with free parking nearby (a free shuttle bus takes you to the hotel itself). The lake itself was very busy when we were there. The property was looking a little tired, it could do with a refresh. The lock on the room door for example, was quite difficult to open. However, the lounge bar was good and the food in the restaurant was excellent and quite good value.

Our Lodge was superb, absolutely stunning with prime views over the lake. Our room was huge with a separate lounge featuring a real wood burning fireplace, although it was very hot during the day 28 degrees it got cool very quickly in the evening and the wood burning fire was lovely to burn. The Burgess dining room was expensive but the food was delicious, our server Gemma was very knowledgeable, breakfast was buffet and had everything from continental to cooked, nothing was left out, our server Sara was very friendly. The only downside was the amount of day visitors making queues longer at the bar, and as hotel guests we had no priority and were unable to get a table at the Cilantro bar. We hired a canoe which I'd recommend as the views from the lake are stunning. Overall I'd definitely recommend staying at Emerald Lake, as it gets quieter after the day visitors leave.

Right from the shuttle pickup guests took a back seat to staff getting a ride to the hotel. Watch out for all the tourists. Checking in was nice but then the resort itself is run down. The meal at Burgess was excellent but again the staff at the restaurant and lounge seemed as though as a guest we were inconveniencing them. How can I forget the tables that went I cleaned forever. Save your money and go elsewhere. I expected more for the price and was extremely disappointed. CRMR should be ashamed

Die Lodge ist sensationell. Absolut ruhig und an einem wunderbaren Ort. Die Anlage bzw. das Zimmer ist jedoch in die Jahre gekommen. Aufgrund dessen ist die Lodge den Preis nicht wert. Zudem lässt die Zimmerreinigung zu wünschen übrig; manchmal nicht gesaugt, Handtücher und Duschmittel vergessen bzw. nicht nachgefüllt. Wir waren drei Nächte In der Lodge. Die Küche bzw. das Restaurant ist sehr gut. Trotz allem würden wir es weiterempfehlen.

Poor choice

This hotel is way over-priced for the condition it is in. The staff was excellent. The room is very rustic and is need of a major renovation. The only internet is in the lodge with no internet in the rooms. When they charge $10 for a 1 oz pour of Buffalo Trace there is a total disconnect, the Fairmont charges $12.50 for Markers Mark. The location is what you are paying for. It took over an hour from order to receiving two bison burgers that were so dried out. The quality was so poor for the food and what you pay. Would never stay here again.

Views and location stunning. Service really poor. Dinner in lounge took over an hour to get our food despite about 30% restaurant occupancy. Another couple left because never got served. Cabins cute but absolutely agree with other need an update or at least fresh paint as peeling right when you walk in. Honestly would not recommend. Its a shame because the location is stellar.

I was disappointed with the room , it was outdated, dark and not worth the price I paid. Guest parking was too far from Hotel it should be moved up to the top of the parking lot this would reduce the need for the shuttle and more convenient for guests. The restaurant access was poor with Cilantro restaurant not open during the day and Burgess was extremely expensive. Provincial wines were being sold at 100% overhead. The scenery was magnificent and I was glad we went but not sure I would recommend it at this time.

The location is stunning and the restaurant was good, but our room was very dated! No fridge in the room to enjoy a glass of wine on the balcony, no safe to keep passports etc safe, metal keys to the room easy to lose, stained furniture cushions. I believe some rooms have already been renovated, but a few small changes could be made for those rooms awaiting a full renovation.
