We were there the week before the hurricane. The food in the buffet was inedible on more than one occasion. The room service was extra and we were unable to eat it. My chicken quesadillas was basically onion and cheese. My husband got a Greek salad and it had ONE piece of lettuce. The only restaurant that we enjoyed was the Mexican one. The rest were not so great. The steak house served our steak blue rare when it was supposed to be medium rare. The chicken parmigiana at the Italian restaurant made me gag. I couldn’t eat it at all. The one thing that was great was the bartender outside the steakhouse. Charlene was amazing and she was so bubbly and welcoming. We even went back to see her just because she was so sweet. We had reservations at the seafood Poseidon but were unable to make it because of the tram. We were told to wait outside our building and they would pick us up. We saw six go by and none stopped. We walked up to the main building to see if we could get one there. We waited for 20 minutes and none came so we missed the reservation completely. Both my husband and I ended up with a rash that our Dr said was from bacteria in the pool. Needless to say our experience was not so good. Our concierge, Tiana, did try to make everything right and she was very sweet as well. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer person to take care of us. She was amazing. The resort was just not what we had expected.
