Toilet didn’t look clean and there was rubber mat in the shower that looked dingy. Staff was very nice. The room size is decent for two guests. Location was okay most Uber rides were 2-3 miles for needed destination. This is not a 4-star hotel maybe it was 30 years ago. Room had no lotion.

I checked in and had to immediately request a move from my first room due to the smell of sewage/sulfur. I was moved quickly. However when I awoke in the new room the next morning my shower would not operate. I was preparing to go to a business meeting and there was no engineer that could fix the issue. This room was an expensive room and they offered $100 off for no shower. That is unacceptable. The reviews are correct the property is clean but if you can’t provide basic expectations you should not be in business. The offer to address the issue with $100 off was insulting. My room should have been fully compensated. I was late to my meeting.

Loved the location of hotel and convenience of several subway stations. Room was great and with a balcony. All the staff and management were wonderful, very helpful and kind. We travel to NY several times a year and have always like trying out new hotels, but liked the Giraffe so much we plan on making it our hotel choice for future trips.

My wife and I visit NYC two to three times per year to see our daughter who lives in the City. The Girafee is a very nice, quiet and well located hotel. The staff is friendly the rooms with king size bed are very comfortable and very clean… We have stayed over a dozen times, so we can definitely recommend the hotel.

Stayed for three nights on a girls trip. The room was spacious and clean. Comfortable beds (including the sofa bed). Staff was always friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the coffee and light breakfast every morning and appreciated the snacks available throughout the day. The rooftop terrace was a great getaway and still nice to visit during our late October stay. Would definitely stay again!
