Can I start by thanking Kate on reception who was very helpful when we requested an early check in at 12pm because we were going to a funeral at 2pm. We had travelled 3 hours from the north and she found us an empty room to get changed in which was much appreciated. The room was perfect, clean and warm.
The bar was clean and tidy, we only called in for one after the funeral, no problems.
The classic breakfast was perfect with plenty to eat and drink and the staff were helpful.
The rooms are dated and need money spending on them . The condition of the room is of wear and tear . Bathroom rusted on appliances , cabinets chipped , curtains not hung properly .
Les points forts : Personnel et service et confort de la chambre
Stayed a few times at the Lea Gate - was fine, but the room I stayed in had a fair bit of mould on it. Could do with a spring clean! Staff friendly though and value-wise it's inexpensive.
The hotel is conveniently situated to Preston, reasonably priced. The double bed is unusually high which made getting in and out different! Staff were pleasant
