Though this place was beautiful, our time there was just average. The employees pounce on everyone coming in & will offer free items. Don’t accept it! They’ll take you to a room near the buffet to hear a sales pitch that will take over an hour and they’ll invite themselves to have breakfast with you to bond before they pitch their sale to you for a few thousand dollars. Soon as we told them we weren’t interested, the sales person brought two other representatives to try to convince us to continue hearing the pitch. I was annoyed at their persistence after we already told them we weren’t interested. We did however get a 20 min massage credit for their spa for the time spent with them. Some employees were visibly annoyed anytime you asked them for something, it felt like they hated being there & were always eyeing you down for tips. They also advertise having 7 restaurants but they’re closed majority of the time (most don’t open till 6pm) & they don’t allow reservations so you’ll either have to have an early dinner (stand in line at 5:30 to be seated at 6) or you’ll have to wait an hour or more to be seated. Only two restaurants were “higher end” and required reservations, but you have to book it at 6-7am otherwise they’d be fully booked and you won’t be able to eat there. They also have parts of the resort that are only available to those with the privilege membership, seats by the beach and pool are very limited & not monitored so people just left their towels and leave.

was difficult to make dinner reservations, and biggest problem is there are annoying people everywhere trying to sell you jewelry, excursions, pictures, massages etc the guys on the beach were particularly annoying when you're trying to relax.

no gluten free food!!! they give you a card so you can show the chefs that you’re gluten free then they just tell you they’ll have gluten free food “tomorrow”, but never have it! the workers at the restaurants were very mean about it and seemed to find it comical that they never had gluten free food. very disappointed.

My only complaints would be that reservations were so hard to get and the beach bar staff was not friendly and majority of the time the drinks we asked for we received something else. Other then that this resort was beautiful everyone was so nice the food was decent and it was beautiful

The beach, the pool, the staff - all fabulous. Ismael was our concierge, and he absolutely made our trip; 6/5 stars for HIM specifically. The buffet was great! Our only complaint was in the reservation systems - just a bit confusing and timing was weird for restaurants.

The hotel/rooms/ambience /pools were very good , beach area very good too especially the Volleyball net was very convenient, there was not enough umbrellas, you go by 7 am there is none , food wise ok choices , service was unacceptable , every time we go to eat there is no clean tables,therefore we finished up eating with no water , on top that no one asked you for a drink , I am not pointing out to the people who were working, but definitely need more stuff in order to get the service. There is only one coffee place opens 7am , every morning there was a big line, drinks bars the service was v good especially the bartender Juana Cruz was amazing , lovely attitude all the times.

Resort was clean and had a nice layout. There were frequent and dependable shuttles to take you around the property. Food was usually good, with one or two exceptions. Our first room was not nice, had a musty smell and was outdated. We upgraded the room and it was much better. The resort felt safe and was clean. Staff was nice and worked hard. Drinks were very weak at the pool and tiki bar. Much better at the night bars. Coffee shop was wonderful. Breakfast buffet was impressive. Entertainment was decent. I’d recommend.

What a beautiful place. Its very colourful during the day and very ambient at night. Beach was about under 10 min walk from our room. Lots of food options and entertainment. We really enjoyed the kids area. There's pool tables, table tennis, bowling, VR and a bunch more fun things to do. My daughter and I went there for her birthday. I asked One of the staff if they can have a cake ready with a candle. When the cake came it was a normal size cake. That's about 9 x9. It was pretty big. I was just expecting like a cupcake with a candle. Lol I did get charged for it after for $33 US dollars after. I wish I knew that. But but overall it was for my daughter's birthday. Our Expedia concierge booked my daughter and I for dinner by the beach. We had surf and turf. Food was delicious and the view was just stunning. There was also musician playing the saxophone. So much great things to say. Not enough room on here. The only issue we had Was when would take a shower, you can start to smell The sewage being backed up. It wasn't often only a few times. We didn't complain about it. We were just in the shower for a few minutes and then we're out so it wasn't much issue aside from that. Overall we loved every minute of our stay.

The Ocean Blue & Sand Beach Resort was beautiful with that authentic feel to it. It had 2 very nice size pools. The food was good with plenty of options. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The only complaint is I wish they had more servers near the pools. They did have a swim up bar, but having servers would have been nice in the non privilege area. In all we had a great time and look forward to coming back again.
