Lovely hotel in a great location. We had a duplex suite which was spotlessly clean and very spacious.
The bed was huge and very comfortable but the duvet wasn’t quite big enough for the bed.
The sofa bed in the lounge was comfortable as a sofa but with a very thin and lumpy mattress it wasn’t suitable to use as a second bed.
The kitchenette was adequate.
The bathroom and downstairs toilet were spotlessly clean with lovely towels and great water pressure but the vanity mirror in the main bathroom was not working and is too low on the wall.
The bedroom has velux windows which let in lots of light in the day and have good blackout blinds but there was nothing to open them with so we had to climb on a chair.
With the windows open it was very noisy.
The reception and breakfast staff were all delightful. Breakfast was fine with a decent selection of hot and cold buffet.
We didn’t try the restaurant because it is closed on a Sunday and even though the sign says it is open until 11pm on a Friday we were told that the kitchen was closed at 9.50pm which was disappointing.
Overall we would recommend this hotel for its great location, cleanliness and friendly staff but a few small improvements would make it a 5 star review.
