Wir hatten das executive zimmer und waren sehr zufrieden. Bequemes bett und sehr grosses und schönes badezimmer. Frühstück war gut und der service freundlich.

Could be perfect, but spoiled by a few key things

Such a shame, this hotel could be perfect. The breakfast is marvellous, lots of choice, great coffee, vegan options, they've tried to think of everything, so best in Siena I agree. Staff are helpful, room decor nice, location just outside city walls also excellent. BUT, the downsides... rooms without soundproofing are shocking. Road noise is one thing, but when you can hear neighbouring room conversations as though they're sitting at the end of the bed, it's impossible to sleep or just even relax. If you're neighbours are Italian, forget it. After 4 hours of listening to this couple bickering loudly we complained. At 2.00am we changed rooms. Upgrade to a premium room with balcony with soundproofing was much better. But alas, the second problem was much worse, the heat and lack of air con. 28 degrees in the room, and 'heat only' available. 22 degrees outside! This practice of only turning air con to cold in summer is a joke. Modern air con does both! So we slept with windows open, until buses and sirens and motorbikes roaring forced us to close for a while... then we boil up and open them again. Sleep then was not easy at all. Ruined things for us really. But if air con was properly available we might have coped. Summer might be a different experience, BUT only with premium soundproofed rooms! Or you really do sleep through say anything! Like I said, such a shame, everything else was great...

Dear Andy, I'm really sorry your stay was not perfect. I want to be very honest. This is an old building. The new rooms, the Executive, are built with all the new tecnologies, including soundproofing walls. All the other rooms also have soundproofing windows but not state-of-the-art like the others. Fortunately noise is very subjective and most of our guests don't have problems. It would be wonderful if we could build all the rooms again at once but it's not possible. We improve more and more, renewing some rooms each year and selling different room levels that guests can choose according to their needs. Regarding Air Conditioning please note that in Italy it's possible to switch it on starting form the 1st of May, not because of the hotel, but because of the Italian law. We are ready! Just waiting for that date! I really hope we can welcome you again after the 1st of May to offer you a perfect stay. Kindest regards, Federica Fiochi, Hotel Manager

Very pleasent hotel

I travelled alone and got good service and help for everything . They fixxed problem fast when shower had low pressure in water . Breakfest was excellent! Location was brilliant! Will go back!

Welcoming, comfy hotel

Location: It is close to the old city.
Super comfy, friendly, close to the old city. I was sick when I arrived and was so happy to have such a comfortable bed, a quiet room with a working, clean shower and bathroom. The breakfast was wonderful. The staff was super friendly.
