GREAT location, large rooms - love staying at the Dunny. Onlybwarning I would give is that it will be loud at night (until the bar downstairs closes and the golfers/students disperse) until around 11. Not good for children.
Amazing location and history. The bar was always lively but the noise wasnât an issue in our hotel rooms. Breakfast was good. The only downside was that there was a leak in the room above so the ceiling in one of our rooms was in pretty bad shape. The bathrooms were newly remodeled but our room needed some TLC. Having said that I would stay there again
If you love golf and/or amazing service, this is the place for you! I was there with a mad golfer who was in literal heaven, but u wasn't a golfer and still loved it! I don't know how their staff served people so quickly or looked after us so well but they did!!! Will 100% go back
We had a fabulous stay in Dunlevan.
Only negative as tea drinker was lack of tea making facilities in the rooms and at breakfast. I travelled with my 17 year old who also doesnât drink coffee which was the only hot drink option. Tea and hot chocolate would be a great addition to rooms, breakfast and bar services.
Would happily recommend and would stay again if in the area.
Very, very old and very cool hotel with just a few big pleasant rooms. Right around the corner from the old course. The pub downstairs is right out of a movie, full of golfers and golf lovers with golf dominating the conversation. Good pub grub and service - overall great experience.
We loved the location. Walkable to the Old Course. The pub downstairs has so much history and vibe. The room was very clean and comfy. The bathroom is updated. There is no elevator, for those who may need one. We stayed in room #2, there was some road noise but we did have our window open. Breakfast was very good.
Leider sehr hellhörig. Dachte das Fenster sei offen, da es so laut von der StraĂe her war, war es aber nicht. Preis begrĂŒndet sich rein aufgrund der Lage nahe zum old course.
The Dunvegan Hotel is fabulous! We loved our time there. The location is perfect, close to the courses, shops, beaches and St Andrews. The people and staff are amazing, so helpful, and so fun. It was lively in the pub area and dinner at the Claret Jug was great. Absolutely a place I'd recommend for repeat visits.
The bar is a big favorite among locals and worldwide golfers. Old Course right close. Very pleasant and very friendly. "Hotel operations" are run out of the bar. Pleasant and quiet room with single beds (golfers' pref, i'm sure) with updated bathroom. Lovely breakfast. Free parking for rental in public lot nearby.
