Staff weren’t friendly in the restaurant. Receptionist made a mistake with my booking and on check in we waited 30 minutes to check in.room had window wild open, cold and smelted terribly.Manager next day was professional and offered us a free meal. Sewage in assessable bedroom was terrible and we felt sick all night. Tv didn’t work and staff didn’t always come. No porter after 11 pm. No phone to call reception and had to use mobile. Very disappointing for the money.

Room was big, but didn’t really have any lighting? 1 spot light on the wall and a few lamps that didn’t work. Shower also didn’t turn on, and overall cleanliness could’ve been better. Breakfast was alright, but a bit boring (would’ve loved some more fruit/cold cut options). Great parking options, but need to be aware it’s on campus of Stirling uni, so there’s a good few minutes to get into town by car.

I didn't eat in the hotel. My room was clean and comfortable although quite cold. I thought the towels were rough and had possibly seen better days. Check out is fairly early at 10.00am. I did not receive discount for having a student daughter at the University. This was always granted on previous occasions.

Appreciated the on campus housing option when visiting our daughter studying at U of Stirling. The room, although small and somewhat dated, was very quiet with a lovely view of the greenspace behind. Especially appreciated the accommodation for gluten free breakfast options (as a Celiac). Bus stop conveniently located across from the hotel.

Initial room was nice enough, but smeeld strongly of either perfume or air freshener - so much so that it was as if someone had tipped the entire bottle into the room. This was rectified by offering us a different room. The Hotel purports to be dog-friendly, but ours wasn't allowed in the bar. As he wasn't allowed to stay in the room on his own, we had to shut him in the car while we had a drink. The grounds surrounding the hotel are beautiful, with a number of scenic walks, through wooded areas. Parking was easy and free fopr residents, and some of th staff were very helpful and friendly, whilst others - most notably at breakfast - were a little less so. The breakfast buffet offering was abysmal and definitely not worth the £13.50/person. Pastries hadn't been replenished, very little on offer on the buffet, other than overdone bacon, inedible sausages and eggs cooked to destruction. Best go elsewhere to eat for better value and quality.

Great location to see everything stirling has to offer, under an hour drive to Edinburgh. Very filling continental breakfast and great bar for drinks and food at night.

Unique location -- on Stirling University campus, a few miles outside of town. Place was clean and comfortable. Rode the UniLink bus into town to eat. Enjoyed talking to students while waiting for the bus. Unusual experience that I wouldn't shy away from.

Didn't realize this was on a college campus. There's a bus stop just outside the main entrance. Two false fire alarms in two days, one just as we unloaded and one at 10pm or so, staff handled things well and fire department was prompt. One night there was only one person working the bar/restaurant and a group that had been in a conference room for an event was using all the tables and piling up used glassware on the bar and we stood in line awhile and weren't able to be seated. Not walkable to any other places so we ordered a pizza to be delivered after asking the desk staff about options. The next night we were able to get a table and the food was very good but service was much slower than we expected. Safe and quiet but we would stay closer to the city next time. Great for college visitors.
