Location, location, location!

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at Royal San Marco Hotel. The room was very spacious and comfortable, but most importantly was the location! Right off of San Marco Square, it was centrally located to everything we wanted to do.

The hotel is in a great area. Although the hotel is very old, it was still in great condition. However, the AC in the bedroom would not work, along with the phones in the room. When informing the front desk staff, the woman tried to argue that if the green light was turned on, it should be working. The cold air was not coming out through the vent, so we had to explain that to her and be a little more assertive, as she did seem like she wanted to help initially. Eventually they sent maintenance to our room to repair it. Service and hospitality was therefore lacking, but seems to be common in Italy. Expected better service as this was a really expensive hotel.

I should’ve listened to the previous reviews!!!

The entrance and lobby was very enticing. The second we left and went to the floor where our room was located, it felt like we walked into a motel. Outdated rugs, poor lighting. Our room was supposed to be a rooms that slept 3. We walked into a room with a double bed and cot right next to the the double bed, leaving barely any walking room. We didn’t have room for our luggage, everything felt like it was in the way. The rooms are very small, the mattress was very uncomfortable and we the a/c was barely pumping cold air. The bathroom seemed to be the only updated room, however the shower was small, so if you’re not small figured, it’ll be challenging. We were in Venice for one night and didn’t want to ruin our short time there with the long list of dissatisfaction. As someone that travels 50% of the year, I can assure you the amount of money spent for one night was not worth it.

We had a wonderful stay and wish we could have stayed longer. Wonderful staff, helpful and courteous. We had an early travel day and they even packed us a boxed breakfast for the road! It was a nice detail that we were thankful for once we caught our train! ❤️🇮🇹

私達はホテル本館の裏側にある別館に通され 、そこは裏口のようなドアを開けて部屋に入るので、ホテルではなくアパートメントホテルを予約したような貧しい気分になった。部屋は２つの寝室があり広かったけど、全体的に古くて、排水溝のような臭いが部屋に充満していた。おまけに、エアコンの調子が悪く、寝苦しい夜を過ごさなければならなかった。翌日、レセプションでエアコンの調子を告げると、部屋を交換してくれたが、新しい部屋の鍵を渡されただけで、特に謝罪もなかった。普通の四つ星ホテルなら、客の荷物を新しい部屋に運んでくれるが、そのような対応は全くなく、自分たちで全ての荷物を運んだ。みなさんがレビューで書いている通り、サービスや施設に関して、とても四つ星ホテルのレベルではないです。
