The location is great, right next to MIT . My room faces Charles river , excellent view of Boston . The room is clean and two complimented bottles of water in the room fridge is extra bonus. I enjoyed the stay .

Very nice hotel in Cambridge MA just across the Charles River from Boston. Fenway Park is about 1.4 miles away and walked there in about 25 minutes. Walking route takes you through Boston University property. Great walking/jogging/bike path right in front of hotel along Charles River. Upgrade to the river view - it’s worth it to be able to look across at Boston!! Nice places to eat inside hotel as well! Great stay - will look to stay there again!!

When we arrived, I was asked to put a card on file for incidentals. We gave them a card, and I noticed that the hold was placed for $1,032. I thought that seemed high but knew it would drop off when we left the hotel. Upon checking out, I noticed that the charge had cleared. Since we previously paid through Expedia our remaining owed at hotel was $47.63. The staff argued that we had just held the room through Expedia. After two different staff members, them verifying that THEY made the mistake and Chase card filing fraud our $1,042 is pending a refund. There is also no pool, which we knew ahead of time. This hotel is best for business trips and adults. It did not offer much for the families. We travel often and try to stay at the best places, this wasn't it. Unless you are a fan our wet egg and old pastry, we would not recommend the $25.00 "breakfast buffet" at Paperback in the hotel. Overall, 2-5 stars for location and cleanliness. Every other aspect leaves something to be desired.
