The bedroom felt like I had been sent back to the 1980's, not sure if it was just our room or the whole hotel, but extremely aged

Very Clean, great decor, always friendly reception staff. Great pool, abt 20m length and gym with a good variety of equipment, all you can eat buffet breakfast with a fabulous selection incl cereal, fruit, breads & full English, plus free car park too, a truly great gem in Caernarvon’s crown.

Rooms and breakfast not much different to a Premier Inn. Apart from being more dated. Only booked Celtic Royal because it had a pool. Can't believe the offer on ebookers was a saving of over £1000 for 4 nights. Wasn't even worth over £100 p/night which we paid. Creaky floors meant 2 disturbed nights as there must gave been a small elephant in the room above continuously pacing the room.....no idea why? Breakfast staff polite, but not very attentive. Coach trips resulted in long queues for breakfast yet the breakfast served in the bar area was empty. Finally, housekeeping failed to ensure our room door was locked. Despite reporting that they had not pulled it tight enough/checked that it was closed and locked, the second day we returned our room door was not locked again. Bathroom door did not shut tight, so pinged open. No lock on the door either. Reported to the manager. Glad my daughter enjoyed the pool.

Lovely large clean room. Spacious en-suite bathroom with enclosed power shower. Great gym with a varied amount of cardio machines and weights, good size swimming pool (free to hotel residents) hot breakfast buffet as well as cereal, toast, breads, yoghurts (great selection) lovely helpful breakfast waiting staff. Hotel perfectly positioned for a visit to Caernarfon castle, town and walls. Free parking to residents too. Had a super stay, have booked again.

Torrential Rain and False Alarm!

Pros: Town centre location
There was torrential rain on the day I stayed - which penetrated the roof of the hotel in the next door room and set off the alarm system in my room in the middle of the night - several times Maybe it was an "Act of God" - but I would have expected some sympathy/TLC in the morning. No such luck!

Booked last minute nice hotel good facilities

Good leisure facilities clean room friendly staff. We are in the restaurant was good quality and a fair price. Nothing negative to say, would we stay again absolutely yes.

Caernarfon has so much to offer but not this hotel

Pros: Location, leisure facilities
Cons: Rooms need an update, no toilet seat on toilet?, soundproofing.
Location: Castle, town
This booking started badly and only got worse, booked through ebookers paid by credit card, job done I thought, then had a call from hotel asking for the 3 digit security code I had to refuse because it would compromise my security, so had to take the time to ensure who I was speaking to was legit and paid again? Booked into hotel no problem was disappointed in the lack of Welsh language on the desk. Went to my room which was ok but was a disabled style room with an adjoining door to next room which I though strange but room was big so thought little of it. Everything went ok until I went to bed at 11pm and tried to sleep ready for a long day on Anglesey 11:15pm was awoken by the room next door who barged in and put the TV on loud, then put on some sort of breathing machine which had a loud buzzing sound along with the loud TV made it impossible to sleep, tried until 11:45pm and in desperation phoned reception who said they had no other room available I said sadly if I cannot sleep I need to leave, which I did at midnight, reception did refund me and agreed that the noise was unacceptable as I had recorded it. Said that the manager would ring me Sunday/Monday sadly nobody has.

Lovely character hotel

Pros: Character building, but clean and well maintained.
Cons: Bed comfort.
Location: Good location close to harbour & shops.
Enjoyed the character & charm of the hotel. Room was spacios but matresses a little uncomfortable. Staff were efficient and polite. Good location with plenty of parking.
