The hotel lobby presents a welcoming and clean environment. However, the room size was not as expected based on the promotional images. There were issues with the door knobs and locks, and the room lacked temperature control. Additionally, the walls were not soundproof, resulting in significant noise disturbance from adjacent rooms and bathrooms, which detracted from the overall experience. On a positive note, the staff was friendly and the hotel’s location was convenient, providing easy access to various attractions.

All of the staff (except one of the managers) were nice and went out of their way to help. The breakfast and happy hour were a nice welcome, in addition to the candy and water all day long. The outdoor area was lovely. Great location to pick up the carriage ride, the market, Boyds cookies and a fabulous "candle shop" across the street. Had bikes but did not use.

The staff made the hotel extra special...from the manager to the cleaning staff, they went out of their way to make our stay good. And the in-hotel was fabulous. Old-world charm and the perfect downtown location.

The common areas were nice and clean, our room was a corner room which I think helped with the noise as we didn’t have neighboring rooms. It was bright and welcoming. Yes the bathroom is small but it was clean and the water pressure and temperature was great. The AC unit was clearly old and extremely noisy. It woke us up every time it turned on and then back off. The bed was not particularly comfortable and the pillows were maybe the worst I’ve ever slept on. Unfortunately, we barely slept which was the point of our weekend away since we have young kids at home. I’m not sure we would ever stay here again. We expressed our dissatisfaction at check out and the response we received sort of made us think they receive these complaints often.

Loved it!! Excellent service from Ricky Ricardo at the Valet, Front desk as well as Sylvia at Swamp Fox. Location was perfect, Close to College of Charleston and downtown shops. Would definitely stay again and take a tour of the city on one of the Bike taxis. Thanks again.

Beautiful hotel with friendly staff. Our room was very nice, clean, and had two full bathrooms! The Swamp Fox restaurant inside the hotel is also wonderful!
