"Dies war mein zweiter Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Beim ersten Mal hatte ich ein Zimmer mit dem Charme einer Jugendherberge aus den 70ern und Blick auf parkende Autos; diesmal hatte ich mehr Glück und bekam ein komfortabel und deutlich moderner eingerichtetes Zimmer mit Blick aufs Wasser.
Obwohl nur ein kurzes Stück von der Ringstraße entfernt (die Hotelzimmer befinden sich etwas weiter weg als das Haupthaus mit Rezeption und Frühstück), ist die Umgebung herrlich ruhig, und man ist nur etwa eine Viertelstunde Fahrt von der Gletscherlagune Jökulsarlon und dem Diamond Beach entfernt.
Das Frühstück ist nicht sehr üppig, aber gut, mit selbstgebackenem Brot. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. In den Gebäuden mit den Hotelzimmern gibt es im Flur kostenlose Heißgetränke am Automaten.
Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen. "
