Isla Holbox Family-Friendly Hotels

"809;4-10 Mar 24. Overall, we felt comfortable at this hotel. It wasn't overcrowded as it wasn't peak tourist season. The food at Hotel Villas Paraisos was always very good, thanks to the great Chef Abenamar. However, on weekends, we had to dine twice at the sister hotel Palapas, where the food was nowhere near as good. Additionally, we felt less welcomed there. The head chef was also not as friendly, even bordering on rude. Nonetheless, we were relieved when we could dine again at the restaurant in our hotel, Paraisos del Mar. We did bring up some issues at the hotel, which were quickly resolved. We've also managed to forget about an extremely unfriendly incident involving a waitress and our child."

"Das Zimmer war schon älter, sehr einfach ausgestattet (wenig Ablageflächen) und es roch sehr unangenehm. Die zwei Pools habe wir nicht genutzt, diese sahen jedoch sehr trüb aus (ich würde meine Kinder dort nicht schwimmen lassen wollen). Das Frühstück ist sehr einfach, gegessen wir auf Plastiktellern. Das Servicepersonal ist generell wie die meisten Servicekräfte sehr langsam und diese spielen oft auf ihren Handys. Der Strand hat mir beim Hotel nicht gut gefallen, wir waren zwei Tage lang im Beachclub Punta Calitza und dort war der Strand mega schön, der Service viel besser und man konnte dort den ganzen Tag die Liegen benutzen, bei einem Mindestkonsum von nur 300 Peso/ Person. Im Beachclub vom Hotel hingegen musste man als externer Gast mind. 500 Peso/ Person konsumieren, bei weitaus schlechterem Service und schlechterer Qualität der Speisen. Die Lage des Hotels ist gut, da man das Zentrum innerhalb weniger Minuten zu Fuß erreicht, es jedoch ruhig hat. "

"We enjoyed our stay in Villa Palapas del mar. The rooms our comfortable and large. You can have your own patio with a little pool. The hotel is located near to the beach and has it's own mat, which makes it really easy to have a nice, quit beachday. It's not too far away from the center but far enough to be in a quit neighbourhood. The service was great, we had a shower head which was not working well and we told it to the reception. 5 minutes later the craftsman was already there to adjust and change it. Breakfast buffet was delicious!"
