"The Worst Hotel Experience of My Life I travel a lot, but my stay at Meliá Granada was a very unpleasant experience that completely ruined our time there. If anyone ever tries to sell you a LEVEL upgrade, be very careful — we were lied to on every point. When we arrived at 8:10 p.m., the charming Raoul offered us the LEVEL upgrade for €95 per night, telling us that: • we would get a nicer room, • we would have a view of the Alhambra, • we would have access to the Lounge with drinks and tapas included, • and that we could have a late check-out until 4:00 p.m. After we agreed and paid, he suddenly mentioned that drinks and tapas were only available until 7:00 p.m., meaning we couldn’t enjoy them on our first night, even though we had paid for it.
