Our first time staying here, we loved chatting with the members and hearing about years past, many return guests here. Nice rooms and decent food. A well priced quiet vacation to relax. Beachfront isn't the best we have seen but we still seam. The resort had recreated large sand dunes as a break water to protect the erosion of their beach. There is a very quiet area of sea to float, swim or soak. Easy to get around with mobility issues. Drinks are the slushy kind and okay. Great ocean views from restaurant. Great for relaxing quiet vacation.

Beachfront room with huge pile of seaweed in driveway beside room. Smelled like death to the point we coul not enjoy patio Not allowed to play our music by pool Beach fair. Lots of erosion; not enjoyable to swim Lastly- limited dining options as reservations for the two nice restaurants all taken by members who can reserve ahead while the rest of us have to call daily at 8am to find that only available for 5p or 9p I used to like it here but probably not returning

Overall not a bad resort Im just used to better. Buffet is not that great (including breakfast) but 2 dinner restaurants and pool bar were excelent. Pool was little cold. And elevator wasn’t working properly (we had a baby in a stroller). 2 bedroom apartment with an ocean view was amazing. No beach was not a problem for us but if you’re looking for a beach you will be disappointed

The resort was very nice and clean. Friendly staff and great food. However the elevators are not well marked and the time share people are relentless. If you get annoyed with the badgering to attend one of their spiels this is not the resort for you.

The staff was absolutely incredible. They go above and beyond to make sure every aspect of your stay is as special as possible. The pools were great, lots of fun pool activities going on.

Hotel is good, but there are two things that I’d like to mention here for ppl who is planning to book this hotel. First beach is NOT good, it’s a rocky beach with big palm roots under water. It’s impossible to go into the water. Second it's very loud when someone walks through the corridors, pushing carts, food service, pretty much you can hear everything. I was there with my 19 months old baby, and she would wake up all the time during her day nap from that, or at night too. Sounds from the corridor were too loud.

I didn't expect and didn't find anywhere reviews saying it is almost impossible to enter the sea. The beach front is destroyed. I was told "it is nature, we can do nothing" but looking south 2-3 hotel beachfronts, I saw pretty nice, sandy beaches. And again I can understand it but this info should be posted so anyone can see prior to book this hotel.

Great family vacation! We stayed 7 nights at Royal Hacienda. Clean, spacious and well stocked rooms. Friendly staff and above average food! While the beach definitely has erosion, the pool and beach front were maintained well. Shout out to Mario, Carlos, Juan, Rosa and Rosy for awesome service.
