We were greeted by a kiosk outside the office. There was no one at the office from 5pm-11pm. The kiosk was fine but you can say that we checked ourselves in. My room was missing towels of which I couldnât get any because office was closed. The mattresses are old, we didnât sleep well. The bathroom shower needs a facelift, shower floor is scuffed up , shower curtain is old and torn on the bottom. Shower curtain was hung with zip ties, bathroom door is old and broken, bathroom door hinges are rusted. The pictures imaged on the website only show what they want you to see of which it is deceiving.
I ended up leaving this booking early, within a few hours of check-in. I have stayed at several Motel 6 locations and they have been decent enough to spend one night comfortable but there was no way I could spend the night here. At first we had to switch rooms because the first smelled horribly, but the condition overall of the rooms was poor as well.
Gave me a smoking room at first had to go back and ask for a non smoking room. Rooms are ran down. No one came to clean our room or replenish our towels during our stay. Probably the worst place Iâve ever stayed in.
The check-in process was a bit frustrating. It felt very unconnected in comparison the in-person check in that it use to be. And they completely disregarded the request to be on the ground floor, which we understand cant always be accommodated- but between how un-personable the check in process was and the request being dismissed, it lost it's good hospitality feeling of previous stays.
The room itself stank badly of weed when we arrived, it was so overwhelming at first it caused one of us to vomit. We tried our best to air the room out to a bareable level, but it was lingering in the sheets/air (we also couldnt open up the window in the room because it was broken). The smell got worse when we tried to run the heater in the room as well so we ended up sleeping in a cold room the entire weekend. The bathroom also didnt seem to have been cleaned when we checked in, there was trash on the floor from what we assumed was the previous guest in the shower-room that we had to pick up. We didnt call the front desk to complain/asked to be moved based on the check-in process making it feel like the front desk team couldn't be bothered.
We stay here usually once a month for an event that happens nearby, but this was just a particularly really bad stay.
I stayed at the studio 6 across the street by mistake. I thought I was going to this place and ended up there on accident. Their manager trashed this place. So I stayed there and was beyond disappointed. They double charged me for deposits and even charged me for pet deposit when I had a service animal, which is illegal but Iâm so non confrontational I didnât make it a big deal but I am pissed off about it no doubt. I came here and boy the front desk is so beyond polite. The customer service is excellent and super friendly. Youâre treated like itâs a pleasure to serve you and youâre a friend of theirs. The amenities are slightly less than studio 6, however you do have the option to pay more for upgrades and it ends up being the same price as across the street, probably less cuz thereâs no deposit. Stay here- NOT studio 6.
