Viva V Samana by Wyndham is a very good hotel, the property is clean, and services are good. Staff at the hotel are friendly, and there is entertainment at all times. I think is best to fly to Santo Domingo if traveling international, I flew to Santiago and the road trip was too long, but very interesting. I had a good stay at the hotel.

I was expecting better from this resort. The food was terrible—I had to go outside to eat because I couldn’t take it anymore. There was a clear lack of staff. The ones there were kind and doing their best, but you could see they were under pressure. Some managers were rude, and I overheard unpleasant conversations in Spanish. The bartenders were great, trying to make the best cocktails with very limited alcohol (mostly just one type of rum). The front desk wasn’t very welcoming either. Overall, not a place I’d return to

The staff is welcoming, and the location is excellent. The à la carte restaurants were enjoyable; however, the buffet could use some improvement. I've encountered better food options in hotels that were less expensive. Additionally, more staff serving drinks would enhance the experience. Overall, given the price, it's a good hotel, and I would recommend it.

BAD MANAGER

Overall staff very friendly and accommodating- EXCEPT for the manager. Leonardo- He doesn't know how to communicate with guests - He approached me in the cafe to discuss a financial / personal matter and the conversation became heated. I later had conversations with the staff that he doesn't not treat them well either. and were embarrassed by his behavior. I sopke with Edwin after- and he apologized for Leo' s behavior. Needless to say- my experience there was below satidfactory. I will nt be reccommending the hotel- and most likely write a review. Other notes- Place was clean- service was very good beach was nice the one other major problem I had was with the quality of the food- it was below average

The beach is UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! Walk one way and you can go snorkeling. Walk the other way and you can surf or go to a great restaurant right on the beach. Stay on the resorts section of the beach and take out the resort's paddle or sail boards, a catamaran or try the boogie boards. Or just sun yourself on a beach lounger.

The buffet was not good quality, cold food, sitting out..no food hygeine etiquette, not all stations manned to serve, people placing common utensils all over! No toiletries or suitcase bench provided in rooms. No rooftop option for non club mbrs, no name house wine was terrible!! Had to buy my own bottle. The Fusion restaurant was the only good food. Will not stay there again.
