Das saubere, minimalistische Interieur der Villa spiegelt die Beherrschung der "modernen Insel" Ästhetik wider. Long Island ist weltbekannt fĂŒr sein unberĂŒhrtes Wasser und endlose kilometerlange weiße SandstrĂ€nde und Buchten.

Rock Hill verfĂŒgt ĂŒber insgesamt 4 Schlafzimmer mit eigenem Bad. Einteilung: Zwei Master-Suiten befinden sich in der obersten Etage und ein Etagenbett (insgesamt 4 Betten) sowie eine zusĂ€tzliche Master-Suite in der unteren Etage.

Ein großes Zimmer und Lanai bieten einen atemberaubenden Panoramablick auf den Atlantik. Die Innenausstattung umfasst Möbel von Restoration Hardware, Design Within Reach und Room & Board. This beautiful 4 BR, duplex villa was built for a designer and architect. It is informal, open, functional and well stocked with everything needed for cooking and serving meals. Each BR has it's own "en-suite" bathroom. The showers are HUGE and warm water is plentiful. There were ample beach towels and sun hats provided. A dedicated "water cooler" with large bottles of spring water provided all needed potable water. The house is approx 1kM from the Stella Maris resort and 0.5kM from the Stella Maris beach and beach bar.The host (Bruno) was attentive, available and very helpful. He arranged for a rental car and we gave him a shopping list of groceries which were already in the house when we arrived.

This is such a quiet, peaceful location!What we loved about the house:- well appointed with very comfortable beds - access to the pool next door (although the pool water was a bit chilly for me- my kids didn't seem to mind!) - very clean, modern decor, low clutter- lots of extras (kids games, books, cooking supplies, spices, ice cube trays, extra drinking water, beach towels)- Property Manager support: Bruno was very helpful in getting us checked in, assisting with grocery shopping (I HIGHLY recommend this add on service) and ensuring our rental vehicle and transport were set up (also recommend using Bruno for car rental coordination) . We only ran into 1 hiccup on arrival when the electricity was out, but it was short lived & was up within a couple of hours and Bruno checked in & ensured we had what we needed during this brief disruption.What we loved about the location of house:- proximity to Moonshine Beach Bar, Erna's Nature pool & Stella Maris resort- Beaches nearby: Love beach, Cape Santa Maria, Dealts beach.We would not hesitate to stay here again, thank you for sharing your home with us!

Wonderful property and stay!

My family consisting of my husband, 2 adult daughters (27 & 19) and their fiancé/boyfriend and 2 teen daughters (16 & 14) absolutory loved staying at Rock Hill and would not hesitate to do so again. The property is spacious and has a beautiful view, though you do have to make a short drive to enjoy truly swimmable beaches. The Moonshine Bar is great for an afternoon snack and a frozen beverage...enjoyed almost daily by our entire party. They also have some fun weekly rum parties with music and such. The dining room at Stella Maris is good and works in a pinch, but it is expensive. I recommend Tiny's for exceptionally good food, beautiful views and a delightful breeze. Bruno was wonderfully attentive and you don't realize how nice that is until you deal with less than attentive property managers! A couple of things that would make the stay more enjoyable are: 1. A couple of cushy chairs or a more traditional sofa - while my girls seemed to enjoy the sofa (which is very low to the ground and has very little cushion), my husband most definitely did not. 2. A television in living room/bedrooms - after a long day of snorkeling/adventuring we enjoy watching movies as a family. We were able to hook our laptop to the projector and watch Netflix, but it was a bit more effort than would be necessary if there was a TV in the space. A TV in the master rooms would also be nice when you want to escape your family and catch an episode of whatever you are binging. Overall - Excellent!

Amazing house

Absolutely beautiful home with fabulous deck and great ocean views. The house was everything as advertised plus some. Really enjoyed the shuffle board court in the yard and being able to walk to the beach, a good restaurant and the bar. Both Max and Bruno were very helpful and responsive to our needs. Would definitely stay here again and really miss the relaxed way of life on Long Island.

Wonderful stay at Rock Hill

We had a blast on Long Island and really enjoyed Rock Hill. The house is perched up on a hill overlooking the Atlantic. It’s a great space for a large group with large open spaces and a fantastic porch. Bring bug spray because the bugs are brutal. We enjoyed the Stella Maris resort and our day on the boat with Docky. We also loved driving up to Cape Santa Maria, eating at the resort and enjoying the beach. Tiny’s and Docky’s Flats Bar were our best dining experiences. Bruno was really helpful with information about the island, what to do, where to eat, etc. It was a great family vacation and the house made extra special and enjoyable.

What a relaxing vacation!

This property is wonderful. It is located a short 5 minute walk from Stella Maris Airport and you can rent a car that will be waiting for you at the airport from Omar's rental cars. Bruno the property manager will meet you at the airport or at the house and he is a very nice gentlemen who has been living on the island for years. The house is a short 5 minute walk to Stella Maris Resort and Erna's natural pool. The house is situated on top of a hill and has a beautiful 180 degree view of the ocean. It was designed by the owner who is an architect. The air-conditioning works great and the house is very well cooled. The house has both a cistern and water from the resort so you won't run out. It is about a 15 minute drive to the nearest convenience/grocery story and a 20 minute drive to the gas station/liquor store. There are two rooms upstairs with large beds and downstairs one room with a bunk bed and one room with a large bed. All rooms have their own bathrooms that are very clean and large! There is an incredible members only beach about 25 min away that is breathtaking with a hammock, and private wooden gazebos. The water is crystal clear there. There is almost never anyone there and it is a short 5 minute drive from there to Cape Santa Maria Resort for drinks and lunch/dinner. If you are looking for a great home to host a family/friend visit, I highly recommend this place. Get a rental car and explore the island. There is a map of the island with all the landmarks marked on it in one of the drawers. We highly recommend Delbert for a boat trip or fishing charter. The island is fantastic! We spent 7 weeks there!

Beautiful home!

This house is amazing!. Be ready for remote living. Not sure if it was because of COVID but lots of houses in this neighborhood are vacant. Long Island has lots of sites to see and water was beautiful! We came by boat and left it at Stella Maris- it was deserted but safe. Definitely rent a car one day and go south!!!

Magical Place, Magical People

I want to go back! My two friends and I stayed six nights & felt like we found the best place to stay on the island. The house is like one from a magazine that you dream about living in. It’s clean, modern, uncluttered & inviting. It looks exactly the same as in the pictures, but even better since it’s impossible to capture all the subtle details that make it so special. When we weren’t off exploring the island, we spent most of our time relaxing on the porch gazing at the mesmerizing colors of the ocean & catching the spectacular sunsets in the evenings. Regarding the people & things to do on Long Island, I don’t even know where to start & it would take up too much space to tell it all. Highlights were eating at locally owned restaurants
..from roadside stands to dining indoors
all recommended by Bruno. Dean’s Blue Hole is a must. The 1.5 hour drive is more than worth it & we enjoyed all the sights along the way. The people on the island are the friendliest you could ever meet. We enjoyed many conversations during our stops along the way & many had us laughing all the while. We took two boat tours, one that was more towards the north-end of the island & the other one near Deadman’s Cay, which toured more of the west side of the island. Both were great, but the second one was especially memorable because we were able jump in the water & pull one conch each to be used in fresh conch salads upon our return to the dock. The salads were prepared while watching & sipping on a rum drink, only a few steps away from where we got off the boat. Also, one of my friends did some snorkeling during the boat tours & also at Dean’s Blue Hole. Our favorite place to shop was Starfish Traders. The ladies there are so kind. All is handmade on the island & we couldn’t resist getting one of their Spider Web Straw hats, custom made to fit. I’m sure there were other good places to shop & dine, but some were closed due to the slowdown in visitors due to Covid. But the upside is that we almost had the island to ourselves! Last but not least, Bruno was fantastic, best host ever! From the start, he met us at the airport & with the rental car ready to go & was ever so helpful throughout our entire stay. All his recommendations were spot on. He has the patience of a saint with three ladies asking him all kinds of questions, losing the house key on the first day, having to jump-start a dead car battery from us leaving the headlights on overnight & also locki

Beautiful island and house

Long Island is a laid back piece of paradise. The house has amazing views of the ocean, quick walk to the resort pool, and a house manager who knows the island well. Great snorkeling nearby. House is well stocked and lives up to the pictures posted.

Paradise!

Our stay was beyond our expectations! The location was perfect and accessible to so many things. The view of the ocean from the porch is breathtaking. The house itself was clean, comfortable, and very tasteful. You can tell extra attention was given to the details and design of the home making it modern, but complimentary to the neighborhood and culture surrounding it. This home has a perfect layout for a large family or several couples staying together. Each room is spacious and has it's own bathroom. There is plenty of privacy and the open and large family room/kitchen was a great spot for gathering. Do not hesitate to book this location! You will not be disappointed. Check in and check out was a breeze due to the property manager, Bruno. He takes care of it all! We stayed for two months and had many questions and requests during that time. Bruno was easily accessible and happy to assist. I only wish we never had to leave!

Beautiful Property. Great for family. We had a lovely time and everyone in Stella Maris is very accommodating. Strike up conversations with locals and you find the best spots. Make sure you tour the Long Island from one end to the other.

Wonderful Stay

Our experience at Rock Hill couldn’t have been better! My two friends and I stayed for almost a week at the property and loved it. The home is spacious, clean, and beautiful- the views from the home are spectacular! It is fully equipped- plenty of towels, toiletries, etc. We cooked at home a few of the nights during our stay and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and more. Bruno, the property manager, was extremely nice and helpful in preparing for our trip and any questions we had during our time there. Long Island offers an experience unlike any of the other Bahamian islands we’ve visited. It is a great place to visit if you are looking for untouched natural beauty and a vacation away from crowded beaches and tourist attractions. We had the perfect balance between relaxing days on the many beautiful beaches and stargazing at night, and then days with activities (boating with Docky, snorkeling, kayaking, swimming at Dean’s Blue Hole, and so on). Our experience at RockHill was amazing and we can’t wait to get back!

Great stay

The house was fantastic. The use of the near by Stella Maris resort was great. It is a bit dated of a resort, but people were extremely nice and accommodating. Long island is a quiet place, but w a Boat, fishing and sightseeing, we filled up 5 days quickly and had a blast. Bruno, the caretaker is such a great guy. I recommend calling him first to help with whatever plans you want to make. He is a great resource. This house was a great place to stay, couldn’t have asked for anything more.
