I am on a Mobility scooter and elevators are important to me. The elevator to the rooms was not working and had to wait forever. The elevators that went from the lobby to the parking garage, one was broken and the other one took forever too.

During my stay, everything was under maintenance/construction. At one point, guests were directed to use the service elevators because wait times using the guest elevators were ridiculous. The decor in the rooms was very dated and the cleanliness of the rooms was questionable (toothpaste on the bathroom wall and behind the vanity mirror. I gave 4/5 stars because this hotel was very close to everything and was very convenient since I boarded a cruise ship after checking out. If you are cruising, I think the inconveniences I mentioned are negligible, but if you’re just visiting Vancouver, there are plenty of cheaper, but just as nice, places to stay.

Great location. Usually a lot better but half the elevators were out of service that caused significant problems getting around. Seems like such a predominant hotel would be able to have all of their elevators working so guests didn’t have to wait 15 min for one. Wasn’t just a one day problem!

You can tell when this hotel opened, it was probably the crown jewel of the Vancouver waterfront. Time has taken a little bit of a toll, but it is still a very nice hotel with clean and spacious rooms. Staff service really knocks the ball out of the park. From dealing with luggage to checking in multiple families on the same reservation, they exceeded expectations.

I know they stated the the elevator maintenance was unplanned. However, to have only 2 working elevators when there is a conventions going on and cruise ships scheduled to arrive and depart is ridiculous. We waited over 30 minutes for and elevator multiple times and attempted to take the stairs only to discover that you cannot go below the 9th floor. Only to have a letter typed and printed placed in the rooms apologizing for the inconvenience. Why could they have not used the service elevator to offer assistance for this “inconvenience” would have made the experience more pleasant.

This hotel is in an ideal location for the cruise lines, and for getting a look at the Vancouver area. A bit pricey for the room but that is due to the cost differences in Canadian dollars and the location/status of this hotel.

Location! Location! Location! If you want breathtaking views of the harbour and Stanley Park, then this hotel delivers! Nice outdoor pool with more views and a comfy bed. Too bad there’s not a separate shower in the bathroom. I find tubs difficult to get into.
