Only issue was the room when I first walked in smelled slightly moldy. I recommend spraying the room with strong air freshener after it has been cleaned. Smells sometimes might have been caused by previous customers cooking.

It's like a home away from home. It's got the basic home amenities: a working open kitchen and living room concept, a 2-in-1 washer and dryer, a couch, a comfortable bedroom with TV, and a great bathroom. My kids and I were able to use the pool which was great since it becomes a shaded area at certain hours. There's a gym but I wasn't able to use it with my kids around. I was really glad to be accommodated for early check-in and late check-out. The front desk and staff are super friendly. There's a lot of things to do outside - local fresh grocery just beside, restaurants, grocery store down the road. A family-friendly and pet-friendly property! We will definitely be back here on our future trip to Vancouver.

Room was excellent on 21st floor overlooking the Harbour. Need more staff at the front desk. One of three elevators failed. Told by other guests it’s common. Garage entry is difficult and potentially dangerous.

This is on Davies Street a short walk from the Beach. Right outside the hotel is a hairsalon, grocer, shoppers drug mart, fruit and veggies store, mcdonalds, local fast foods, blenz coffee even a vintage thrift store. This hotel is good for families, very clean and comfortable. I stayed in a newly renovated suite that came with a a/c, dishwasher, clothes washing machine/dryer, fride, full size oven and microwave. They had a beautiful and clean pool and a reasonable gym with a treadmill, free weights, yoga mats and some life fitness equipment. It was stocked with sanitizing equipment and towels. The TV in the living room didn’t have a remote . I don’t watch much TV and the kids watched in the bedroom. My balcony had a view of the pool so we were able to take a swim when it wasn’t too busy. The pool does have a nice seating area with cushioned couches and chairs as well as loungers.

The hotel is centrally located, easy to get to various tourist destinations. Our 5 night stay in the room (queen with sofa bed) we had was comfortable and was a bit newer than the room my son and his friends had. Only complaint were the elevators, 1 of the 3 was not working most days so wait can be long.

My first time in Vancouver and was happy that I booked the Davie Street Sandman. Right from the beginning and check in with Dan was a wonderful experience, he was very friendly and helpful in suggesting places to walk by the harbor and places for dinner. And then the suite on the 20th floor with a view of the harbor, outstanding.

The view is fantastic and the pool is pretty nice but the rooms are not. The beds, the bedding, the pillows, the towels, the carpet, the selection of cookware, everything is very mediocre. And its NO deal. Its quite expensive for not much.

Last week 1608 was old. This stay in 409 was an updated room. Bathroom was great. Sofa bed looked updated but still lumpy thin mattress. Parking is underground but above ground deck at rear of building is third party and might be better option. It’s hard to get in and out of Uber on Davie street
