On arrival the house looked seedy. The two downstairs windows, either side of the front door, were dirty & looked like they hadn't been cleaned for years. Not a very welcoming view. Our room, the Garden Room, was at the back of the house & had it's own entrance from the garden. It was clean but basic. We felt it was expensive for what it was, breakfast was not included or available on Hotels.com website.
Spacious room (we had the Windsor room) with a lovely view of the garden. This is a hotel with charm and character; it's also a genuinely relaxing and pleasant place to be. We had reasonably priced and enjoyable evening meal at the Loch Fyne restaurant that's just a minute's walk away. Very friendly communications with the owner. I hope to stay here again.
We took a family room with our 9 year old granddaughter. Ideal for a visit to Windsor the first evening, early start for a visit to Legoland (just down the road) the next day. Room immaculate , continental breakfast in fridge ideal for our needs. Full marks to Bluebell House.
Loved the room. Well stocked tea and coffee hot choc. Lovely cold bottle of water in a glass bottle. Fan in room perfect for this weather. If you're looking for a room with character and not just the same old that you get with premier inns and travel lodges this is the place for you. The bed was super comfy too ! Would visit again for sure.
Beautiful spot for a guest house. Lovely room and sunny terrace on the Garden room, Awoken by wonderful dawn bird chorus which could be considered a mixed blessing . Key pad entry a brilliant idea
Quiet character house with a large room, overlooking the garden. Good access by car to Windsor, without being in the city. Just what we wanted for a few days. Nice local pub.
We were very happy to be staying at Bluebell House. The room was well appointed and of good size. Local facilities include two good pubs, one of which, the Duke of Edinburgh, we visit twice, and a Loch Fyne.
We would definitely stay again!
We liked the keyless entry, it made our check-in easy. The room was large, ckean and comfortable. The hotel was easy to get to, just off a main road, and had parking. We used a coupon they supplied to eat at a pub nearby. Very happy with our stay.
Pros: Nice room, good location for driving around by car. Also quite a quiet location. Simple access via pin pad. Good tea & coffee offering. Nice breakfast table and good space within the room. Very good shower & bath. Big TV (if that's your thing!)
Cons: Neighbour's light opposite very bright. Fridge in room rather loud throughout the night. Very warm room with limited ventilation. Paid for breakfast both mornings, but no bread provided 2nd morning.
great location, easy, love the keyless system to access rooms, great hotel, the only thing id change is the pillows as I found them far to thin.
Duke of Edinburgh pub down the road is fantastic with good food.
A lovely hotel run by Tim & Barbara, they and their staff could not do enough for me. A very convenient setting between Windsor and Ascot, about 20 mins from Heathrow. Very comfortable and nicely equipped room. Would highly recommend.
The house and gardens are undergoing renovations at the moment, so access is restricted. I'm sure once they are finished the gardens will be a bonus.
However, the room we had was huge, and as we were flying home next morning, after a three weeks holiday, this afforded us the space to do a complete re-pack.
We SHOULD have pre-ordered breakfast, as there was nowhere local to grab food. That was my mistake as the hotel description lists "... breakfast (extra charge) ..."
