Hotel Nord Otaru is located across the street from the canal. It has a good view of the canal, but the ocean view is far away and unimpressive. The rooms are dated. Our shower room smelled like mildew and there was some visible mold on the ceiling. The room size is larger than typical for Japan. ...

Room was spacious but I hated the tatami mats in the bedroom, it was old and tiny bits of the tatami was everywhere in the room that it got on our clothes and bed.
