A great hotel.

This hotel is very good to stay especially if you are visiting Paula Sant Jordi. You can walk up the hill but the bus goes very near to the hotel. The room was adequate for me and my granddaughter. If you require a big room I would double check the room size. The room was very clean, water in the fridge and tea and coffee facilities. There was hardly any noise but you could hear the rumble of the metro but nothing terrible. The breakfast was good, plenty of choice. The staff was very nice and helpful. I would definitely go there again, you are very near the metro and shopping centre.

This was a great choice for me - perfectly close to the train station and very accessible on foot or via the metro. Hotel staff were excellent and the room was chic and very much appreciated after a long travel day.

This a really lovely hotel and it’s location means it’s easy to get around Barcelona using the metro system. The aerobus from the airport also drops off and picks up from close by. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. Best sleep I’ve had in a while on the beds there! Staff are helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel ☺️

Staff at the Occidental were top notch, breakfast was great. Room was excellent, whole place was very clean, and was nice extra to have the 8th floor pool bar. The pool is very small and we did not use it. The location is great for Barcelona, 10 mins taxi from Atocha train station, walkable / safe in the evenings, plenty of mini-markets and restaurants to enjoy.

Needs more attention

My air condition felt like it wasn’t working properly so the room was too hot. I’ve asked at the reception to check it and they said it takes 20 minutes to pick up. At that point it was late and I just slept with not working air con. The next negative part of my experience was that I stepped over a piece of broken glass injuring my foot. This should have been cleaned properly to avoid any injuries.

So Nice Barcelona

This is a very nice hotel! The staff was kind and I appreciated the flavored water and treats at the entrance. The bed was large and comfy and the ability to choose a pillow type was especially appreciated by my spouse. The breakfast buffet was yummy with a nice variety of foods. I liked the location pretty well, less than a block from major subway station, even tho construction at the Plaza is unsightly. Perfect location for airport bus, and Sants train station is a 10-15 min walk. Rooftop bar and little pool were also fun. Would love to stay here again.
